What do you think the best way to get to Port Orleans from MCO with 8 People? We haven't been since the Magical Express is gone and not sure the best way to get to the hotel would be. Is Mears the easiest, or is it quicker and cheaper to get 1 or 2 ubers? Thanks in advance for you help.

Well, you would at least need 2 ubers with that many people; it would likely be quicker.

You could potentially do Mears transport or Sunshine Flyer....

Here's a suggestion. Fly into MCO the day before you check into Port Orleans. Take a free shuttle to an airport hotel (we have been using Marriott Lakeside). Arrange for a large van, Mears or other, to pick you up early the next morning to take you to POR. Drop off luggage, check in (since you might be the first ones checking in that day, you should have more choice as to where the rooms are). Get your wristbands, and head to a park. Come back when the rooms are ready.

We do this everytime and it works out beautifully. It is relaxing, zero rush, no lines. And your first day is a full Disney day, not a half day or less.

Also, the van service usually includes a grocery stop, but careful if you are buying beer/wine, there are certain time restrictions on buying alcohol it might be Sunday only though.

I would book a van, which seats up to 8 passengers and has ample luggage space, with Mears’ Luxury Division. It will be less expensive than either Mears Connect or Sunshine Flyer. The driver will meet you at Baggage Claim, and escort you right down to the car, which will be waiting in the Express Pickup tunnel right below Baggage Claim.

Only certain companies include grocery stops; Mears does not. If you wanted a grocery stop with Mears, you would have to pay for wait time ($1.10/minute) in addition to the fare.

Good to know. I think we used Florida Tours (its been a few years, for obvious reasons). Whatever we used, grocery stop included.

I wish this was an option. It's a great idea. We already have hotel and flight booked to arrive at noon. We won't be hitting the parks this day, just disney springs. But I also don't want to wait at the airport forever waiting for transportation.

You will have a great time, Port Orleans is great!

We are a party of 6 and I plan on using Tiffany Town Car. It's just a few $$ more than Mears bus transport and they will take us right to our resort and a grocery stop is included.
