Beaches and Cream Walk Up Wait List

Hi all,

I have an ADR for lunch at Beaches and Cream this Saturday. I'm tempted to cancel it in favor of a different ADR. But on Monday we'll be spending the day at the pool at the Beach Club and it would be a great day to have lunch at Beaches and Cream - with a lot of flexibility. There are no ADRs available on Monday, however.

Anyone have a sense of how likely we are to get in for lunch if we try to get on the walk up wait list? We're a party of 4.

Thanks,
David

Depends on what time you plan to arrive.

I know that the last time I was there for dinner at 7 or 8, it was a 35-45 minute walk-up wait. And we were coming over the boat from Boardwalk. So I headed there first to join the walk-up list and my friends/family came over on another boat.

I think your chances are pretty good as long as you are flexible. We've done walk-ups as a party of 2 multiple times, but it's been at off hours (usually later at night). I would also check night before and morning of to see if an actual ADR pops up (or sign up for a dining alert service). Also, if you don't see availability on the app, it doesn't hurt to ask the hostess if they can accommodate you - we've gotten in that way, as well.

I could not for the life of me book a lunch at Beaches & Cream for party of four for lunch. Not even at 60+10!

But there were a bunch of available time slots for parties of 2. I booked two 2-tops 10 minutes apart from each other.

Maybe they can sit us together, maybe not. But at least we have reservations to eat there.

(My kids are teens so they could eat at a separate table if necessary.)

Anyway, worth a shot.

That's an interesting idea! I have twin five-year olds...So, separate tables is tricky unless it's one parent at each table (which isn't necessarily a terrible idea!).

Tell them you want the twins at a separate table, and they want to eat first.
Watch how fast they can seat a table of 4.

Was just coming here to ask the same question about B&C walk up list. I couldn't get reservations for New Years Day. So was thinking that maybe we head over around 11am and try to get on the list for lunch. It's a party of six. I even thought about breaking up the party and trying to make two different reservations. I am hoping that maybe there will be some hungover people from the night before that cancel out on their reservations. LOL.

Looks like it is our party size that is the issue. They can accommodate a party of 4 and a party of 2 at the same time. I tried to book two different reservations for the 4 and 2 and no luck. It makes me cancel my previous reservation when trying to book the second one.

Is it at the *exact* same time? Maybe try a time that is 10 min or so earlier or later.

So been trying several times every day to get a party of six reservation at B&C with no luck. I still have the reservation for four for lunch. The game plan now is to have my parents, sister, and son take the reservation. Then my wife and I will ask to be on the walk up list. If that is too long of a wait, we are prepared to head over to Hurricane Hanna's and just order some lunch there while the rest of the party enjoys that delicious ice cream.

Can you make a reservation for two with a different primary guest? For example, make a reservation for four under your parents name and info and a reservation for two under your name and info, or vice versa? The issue with two reservations at the same time is that it can’t be the same people and same MDE account, so if you are trying to book both under your name, email, etc., it’s going to make you cancel one.

I am the only one with an MDE account. My parents have no idea when it comes to MDE. I basically created them as people under my MDR to book their ticket/hotel package and now our restaurant reservations.

We ate dinner, as a walk up at beaches & cream last month. The waitlist said 10 minutes but it turned out to be about 30 and we were told a couple of times that people on the waitlist are seated at the counter. I'm not sure if this happens all the time. It was interesting watching the staff prepare the meals, sort of like watching a dance number in a musical. Food was good & plentiful; we onky ate 1/2 of our meals & had no room for dessert, which was disappointing as the sundaes looked yummy.

We were having the same issue for that particular day as well. I called the dining number and they were able to book the second table without having to cancel the first one. We are hoping to be seated together, our party is split up by 15 minutes.
