Hi!

The RN discount is not available the first 5 nights of our stay. There is a big convention at tha S/D (March 7-11). It is available the last 4 nights. Is it worth packing up our 4 kiddos and repurchasing the refillable mugs to experience a deluxe? The price for 2 rooms at the Dolphin would be $100 more with the discount than 2 rooms at ASMo. All together it would cost $460 more to experience the Dolphin. We would love to stay at a deluxe however, over spring break they run in the $200-$400 per night per room (and we need 2)-thus making the Dolphin our only choice of deluxes for us. Would you switch resorts or just hang out at the ASMo?

This is a great opportunity for your family to experience a value resort vs. a deluxe resort. I have stayed at both resorts and both are a lot of fun. However, there are many benefits to a deluxe resort. The rooms are usually larger. The rooms at the All Star Music are small. Although you will not spend a lot of time in the room the size is still quite noticeable. Also there is not much to do at the All star Music. There are 4 resorts around the lake at the Swan. There is also the Dolphin, Beach Club, And the Boardwalk. It is so nice just to walk around the lake and view all of these resorts. There is also a lot of nightly entertainment at the Boardwalk. Just a couple of minute walk from the Dolphin. The pools at the resorts are great... And the best feature is the transportation. You take a short boat ride to MGM and Epcot. You can even walk over to Epcot... So two out of the four theme parks are within minutes. If you have ever taken Disney buses before you know going anywhere can take a long time... So being so close to two of the theme parks are worth it.. We are members of the Disney Vacation Club so we stay at the Boardwalk quite a lot.. You will really enjoy the conviences of staying at a deluxe resort and it is worth the money.. You and your family have a great trip!!!!:bounce:

Well llet me just say this...once you go Deluxe yo'll never look back. At least that's what happened to us. There are a lot of little extras at the deluxes that make them worth the extra money. Personally the Dolpihn is tied with AKL for my favorite Dis resort. The location is incredible. We had so much fun walking to the boardwalk and taking boats to MGM and Epcot. The lobby is awsome and our standard view room faced the TOT and Epcot countries and they are really right there, not a million miles away. How much more Disney can you get. We saw fireworks each night from our room and we so enjoyed the feeling of this resort. We stayed at the ASMU and enjoyed that hotel as well, but no jacuzzi, no restaurants, no walking anywhere, no boats, very small rooms, busses, busses and more busses. It's a great resort BUT once you go Deluxe you'll never look back! JMHO
