NBA suspends the season.
Yes .. sorry ..Isn't it just Europe with the exception of the UK?
Just odd to me, why not cancel altogether? There will still be a LOT of people at these major sporting events without spectators.
Yeah, there is no way the parks stay open now. The NBA is going to be the dam breaking. Everything is going to cancel by the end of the week.Well I'm a bit shocked, but i do think our US parks will close for a (short) time.
So sad.
So I guess life just stops in the US for the next month? wow .. just wow ..
WDW will close ... they have to .. just for the PR to look like they are doing their part.

I don't think restaurants, shops, grocery, etc. will close - just mass gatherings.
And it's not the virus that will hurt us in the end, it's the economic fall out.
It's actually both...and both will hurt.
I agree that grocery stores won’t close. Everything else is fair game. Currently in Italy everything is closed basically except for grocery stores.I don't think restaurants, shops, grocery, etc. will close - just mass gatherings.

Yes but if the hospitals get overwhelmed it could effect a lot of people who never even get the virus.Majority of people will only be mildly affected by virus. Majority of people won't be mildly affected by a recession. In the long run at least.

If we can control the spread. Kuwait has closed all those (except grocery). We don't want to be there.

A short recession is actually preferable to the carnage a failed medical system would bring, but maybe we should be most worried about what people call the virus.Majority of people will only be mildly affected by virus. I think we can control in areas, I think other areas may need to take more drastic measures for a time.
I do think the cancellation of large gatherings is a good start. Even though some of it seems pre-emptive, it will help.
