Anyone get a stimulus check already? Curious.

I don't know, but I would assume so. They are the easiest to process with current information on file and banking information for direct deposit. I could be wrong. Maybe they fixed some of the issues from the last go around.

i didn’t look at the numbers, but I know DH and I won’t qualify. i think one of our kids might.

I know people are struggling, but I worry about what we are doing to future generations with the staggering debt we keep adding to.

We qualify and I still feel this way. DH's income has not been affected and, even if my income hadn't been interrupted (I'm Covid furloughed) we still would have qualified. We're making sure we're prepared to return it all at tax time over the next few years - along with the money we are getting back from the stalled payroll tax payments. We are not in need because we are meeting our bills just fine, but sadly a lot of people who actually are in real trouble aren't getting the help they need.

I think people should get the $2000 stimulus and that the feds need to give the $300/week unemployment boost directly to the unemployed worker, rather than letting the states do it. The states have mucked that up a lot.

That would require the federal government to create a whole new bureaucracy and the individuals to file in two different places. The fact many states. Including mine, screwed it up was often more a case of incompetence.

That's the plus side of living in Wisconsin The gov't knew fake cheese wouldn't be tolerated there.

Go up to any of the reservations that don't have large casinos and you'll find plenty of the fake cheese. The only place I ever had it was Odanah in Ashland County.

For years Wisconsin wasn't really known for making much other than commodity-grade cheese. I mean - it's real cheese but was never anything special.

Them's fighting words. There are only a few things done well in Wisconsin, cheese is one of them. Brats, beer and toilet paper are the others.

My bank sent me an email that my deposit was processed at 2:43 this morning.

I happened to be balancing my account yesterday and noticed that the stimulus deposit was pending. It shows a January 4 date.

SIL said that hers posted this morning with a date of Jan 4. She’s one that does need it. She’s unemployed and has been jumping through hoops waiting for her unemployment to be processed since the end of September.
