Any difference between Avis and Budget if the deal is rought the same?

We have two car rentals booked for our trip later this month. The Budget car is a Verano and the Avis one is a Malibu...I can't tell if they're the same class or not. Regardless, we'd be happy with either. Curious though if both have good service, or if one is more likely to upgrade or something.

In smaller airports, Budget and Avis often share agents and occasionally cars. Orlando is obviously much larger than my local airport but given the partnership, I'm not sure there's much difference.

I think Avis tries to position themselves as the more "upscale" of the two so maybe they'd be more willing to upgrade?
