All Values and Moderates to Have Same Menu?

On Facebook, someone is staying at Art of Animation and has reported that the counter service--Landscape of Flavors--has changed its menu as of today to remove some of the unique things on that menu (in particular the Surf and Surf Burger). She spoke with the chef who said all values and moderates were going to a "global" menu and would have the same items at their counter service. Has anyone else encountered this? The other thing she highlighted as going off the menu was the choose your own pasta (which I had heard a few weeks ago another resort (POR maybe?) had done away with. If this is true this is very disappointing. Having unique things at various resorts was incentive to try new places.

Sounds like the continued homogenization of all the good

Disappointing but not surprising sadly. Cheaper for Disney but so sad for all the guests.

How would they do that for resorts such as CSR which has a decidedly Mexican flavors/items for majority of menu?

I have been reading about this change on social media as well.

If it’s legitimate and not just a rumour I’ll be truly bummed. But not at all surprised.

Ugh. I loved that Pop had a little something...........different. Didn't eat it much but it was an option. Very dissapointing

I was looking at staying at AoA next trip, specifically because of the food court vis a vis other values.

Perhaps the Values could combine the best of the best..hopefully, that...to produce a 'global' menu, but the moderates are all themed to a particular culture (Spanish, Caribbean, New Orleans). That would be foolish to homogenize those menus. But...lately... there have been many unfortunate decisions.

Finger crossed they don't remove the yuka offerings from CBR a fews days before the Skyliner will, at last, makes this restaurant easy to get to…

We stayed at CS last weekend and there were only Mexican options at dinner at El Mercado - nachos and rice bowls. But they also had pizza, pasta, roast chicken, ribs, burgers, cheesesteak and a shrimp po boy options. I could see those options now being across the board, sadly.

I noticed that too when I stopped by a couple of weeks ago. The menu was way less Mexicany then it was 3 years ago when we stayed there.

I was reading menus online - I think I was looking at the outside bars and other places at the hotel that had tacos and such! :)

The has chorizo at least. ;)

Ugh. I loved the surf and surf burger...and the shrimp and grits at POFQ, among others.

If Disney doesn't want my money I'm sure I can find another company/vacation destination that does.

I hope it's not true! One of our favorite things about eating dinner at Value resorts was the varied menu options. It would be a shame if that went away, especially for the resorts that currently have a more strongly themed menu.

My DH first comment was will they all have beignets then? Um no, probably the opposite sadly
