All Star Sports Renovations

Building 6 has ways to go and dry wall is going up. Barricades up for building 4 according too a group member in the sports Faceboook group.

I'm following this with interest! We will be booking for the end of January 2023. I would think they would be done by that time, based on the progress shown here. but I'm nervous.

At this rate building 6 should be done by Jan 2023, but the resort will likely be finished towards Fall or Winter 2023. Since 4 is just starting the next buildings are likely going be starting in Jan/Feb 2023. Seems like buildings are taking about 4 months. 7/10 are outliers as they likely had some work done during the closer and has issue getting supplies.

Disney Resorts Guide - All-Star Sports is where alot of the info being shared. The Value resort group just share very small amount of information. I will be doing a physical update soon.

Building six: most windows were covered up however somewhere uncovered and furniture was in the room. Chairs on the bed, Beds, in addition saw some TVs in the other rooms and other floors. This is from what I can see from the uncovered windows.

Building four: one of the windows still covered can’t tell much. Several doors on level one were left open and the rooms appear to be empty with carts inside Looking from a distance.

Hope to have pictures sometime in the near future.

Building four: making progress, moving slowly but appears work is going on.
Building six: moving along pretty rapidly. Several of the windows now have no papers on them back and front. I would guess within the next few weeks the building may be opening.

Mainly not many changes since my last update but this time pictures have arrived

Just checked into Building 4. Our room is completely renovated. Don’t see any barricades or covered windows on any other rooms.

Building 5 is barricaded and has notices all over the windows.

Ds is in love with basketball so once the other building is finished I might convince dh to go stay for a night

Do we think they will be finished by late August? Trying to look at places to stay, and I actually like Sports...but I'd rather not if we don't think they'll be done (I'd be staying preferred).

Maybe, Next up is likely 2 then 1. By than all preferred should be complete. Hearing building 2 maybe start soon. Will update once I hear solid info.

That section would only be a request though. Unfortunately you can't book a specific sport area. Just Preferred (Surf's Up or football) or Standard (all the others).

I have dozens of stays in value resorts and I’d say maybe 40% of the time they met my request, and a few times I asked for changes on arrival and was refused. Not something anyone should depend on.

That’s weird. We get our requests honored the majority of the time we stay. We don’t do a lot of value stays so I don’t know if that’s why or not. We always go to the front desk when we get there to see what room they’ve assigned us and we’re always pretty lucky getting a room in an area we like
