I've had my minivan booked since 5/30 with the Family fun Magazine code 803292 with alamo who we use every year. Our trip is 5/28-6/9. I always check frequently to find a lower rate. The code was working (although not lower rates) until this past week. Now says can't be used online. I have a confirmation email and we are insiders. This has never happened before with a booked reservation. I have sent an email into them and will see what they say, but anyone else experience this?

The code no longer works. Disney told me they no longer have an AP car rental discount

I did see that on another post but this is not the AP discount. And why wouldn't they honor my confirmation email?
I've yet to receive an email back from them.

Early covid Hertz stopped honoring mousesaver disounts. Technically the rates don't apply, even to existing reservations, once the contract with the organization expires or is canceled.

In the past existing reservations were grandfathered. Now, not always.

How many people using the family fun magazine code are readers of that magazine?

Edited to add mousesavers isn't showing the family magazine code

Well I haven't heard back yet. But what is the point of a confirmed reservation at that price then, if they can just cancel 1 week before our trip?
They should still honor the price regardless.

I had the same problem with my rental for 5/31. Contacted Alamo, heard back and they wouldnt budge. The wouldn't honor the price. Nothing. I couldnt even cancel it myself. I had to reply back to tell them I am taking my business elsewhere and they didnt care. Doesnt matter I found the same class of car with Hertz for $77 less. Bite me Alamo.

How long did it take for them to get back to you? I still haven't heard. Also, it shows my reservation but when I click on modify/cancel, it doesn't work either. This is so weird. we've rented from them for over 15 years too.

I noticed that the AP discount code stop working as well.

Oh well Alamo bite me too! (@joxer1014)

I don't really need the rental but it was nice on our last trip to pick a car up at MCO and drop it off the next morning at CCC. :(

It's in the contract that magazine had with Alamo. The companies allow rentals beyond the expiration date to be booked under the assumption that the contract will be renewed, if it's not they have no requirement to meet the conditions of the contract that has expired.

I would call, don't wait for them to email you back. And start looking for an alternate rental if you don't want to pay their price. Hope it works out!

So like everyone else I am in the same boat. I have a car rented for 5/28-6/4. I also have used this code many times without any issue. The last time it worked for me was on 4/28/23 when I got a fantastic rate on a SUV renting out of Sanford. Trying to speak with them via chat was difficult. Then I finally was able to email them on May 18th. I wasn't happy so I called the making and managing reservation number. I got an agent who was difficult to hear and understand at times. Come to find out he is in Mexico:oops: He found my reservation said it was valid but he couldn't open it to view. I told him I didn't want to arrive on 5/28 and find out my reservation is not valid and would have to take a higher rate. He said that wouldn't happen but maybe we should book another reservation just in case.:confused3 I said I would do that on line. I hung up with him and still it kept nagging me. I decided to call Alamo at Sanford Airport since that is where my reservation is. I was told by the agent it was valid but he was going to have me speak with their service rep. I was transferred to Maria. I told her my dilemma. She brought up my reservation and assured me it is valid for that rate. I have my print out and have everything documented. I also had a reservation with that code for a full size vehicle for another relative and needed to cancel it since I could no longer do it on line. She was able to do that. This morning I received answer back from my 5/18 email. This is the answer I received.

I took a look at your reservation and see that there is an issue with the Disney Passholder rate code that was used for this booking. This is the reason for the error when attempting to pull the reservation online. For assistance with viewing that booking online, please contact our 24/7 Reservations Department directly at: (844) 354-6962. One of our Reservation Specialist will be more than happy to assist you. She provided a reference number if I needed it. I then received an updated reservation for my rental and it still shows my original rate. So fingers crossed everything works out.

Thanks for posting this. I will try this number.
Just my luck, this code has been around since we started going to Disney annually 16 years ago. I don't think I've even used it before because there were always better codes, except last few years, no codes! But I always remember seeing it.
Weird, why is Alamo suddenly cutting ties with Disney related codes I wonder?

My rates have always been low with that code. They still have the code 7014926 which is also an annual pass code but with a higher rate. I have also used 7015504 and 7016350 which are Visa codes. They are sometimes lower than the AP code.

I called Alamo yesterday and the representative told me that the annual pass discount was removed from my reservation. She thought that maybe the annual code was replaced by another code and to ask Disney.
