Airline rant not SWA

I ‘ve just wasted a few hours trying to do a good deed for an unknown person. If you are Barbara B. Or Barbara O. With a trip on June 9
MCO -CLE on an airline which had a plug problem a few months ago please pm me.

The company emailed me the confirmation. At first I thought it was a scam but after looking at the whole email it looked ok. So I went to the airline site and put the conf. # in and it worked. I got the passenger name and she paid with master card. I started trying to contact the airline. It’s the one with no phone customer service. They have a number for their elite customers. I couldn’t use it without a membership number. So I tried their chat. Obviously I only got canned answers from a robot who did not read the message. I tried finding to find her phone number. I think she lives in Oh. I called every number (8) listed on fastpeoplesearch.com with no luck. Most numbers were not in use or didn’t answer. I left 2 messages. Then I decided to try their chat to get a person. I started with the robot and after putting in 4 ridiculous messages I were transferred to a specialist. They didn’t have much more intelligence than the robot. I was asked to repeat the conf. # at least twice. They couldn’t comprehend that I didn’t know the person except for name, #, flight route and date and kept asking. I don’t know their credit card number. Obviously if they put in the # they could get all the info they needed. I finally gave up. After I said I was done they wanted me to confirm the date of the flight which I had already given them. They thanked me for contacting them and said I should contact them if I had any more problems. lol I will never do business with them and suggest everyone avoid them unless you know for sure you will not need customer service. Thanks for reading.

I have no idea what this means. What's a plug problem?

Is it possible that the person who purchased the tickets put in the incorrect email address? Maybe yours and hers are off by a letter or number or something.
On one of search sites there was a partial email. Bo……@gmail.com which is probably her first initial and her last name. She must have an account with all her info where they can get her email, phone number and address and contact her if she entered the wrong email. My email has a 4 letters and a 3 digit number in it. Doubtful if she could accidentally enter it.

@barb969 best way to contact Alaska is to send them a direct message on Twitter/X. Their handle is @AlaskaAir and they operate 24/7. Click the little envelope icon on the upper right to Direct Message them.

I'm not sure why you are trying to be so mysterious about this. What's the point?

I agree, what's your point? IF you got a flight confirmation in error for some person you don't know, I would simply reply to that email indicating it was sent to you in error. Why are you trying to track down that person when you say you don't even know them?

IF you were able to figure out her home phone number then what? If some random person I didn't know calls me about my flight confirmation, I would assume it was a scam and hang up on them. Seems you are trying to use this convoluted story to convince us to not us that airline.
