This is my first cruise taking the kids, and I just wanted to know if anyone knows how they handle an emergency on board, and the kids clubs etc.
When I sailed RCCL in Alaska last summer, as kids were getting on board I saw a line where kids were getting ID bracelets that they wore all the time, that I believe had some sort of a code, on it as well as their lifeboat number. Since I didn't have kids with me I don't know if this was mandatory or voluntary, but I think it was for in case of an emergency, if they were separated from their parents, a crew member could take them to the appropriate life boat to find their parents.
Does DCL have kids wear any kind of identification, so that if there truly was an emergency, and kids were in a panic, crew could help them find their parents at the proper life boats? I guess it could also be used if a little one got separated from their parents, and was crying and not able to communicate very well, the crew could find their parents based on their ID bracelet.
Also, what is the policy if there is an emergency and the ship has to be evaculated and the kids are in the clubs? Do they give you that kind of information when you sign up for the club?
I know I'm sounding like a worry wart, but I'm a mom, and I worry!
