A Week of Magic: From Roses to Wands!

In spite of the fact that this is my 14th Disney trip, this is my first trip report, so please bear with me!

We just got back a little over 30 hours ago, so the family is still in deep denial... This has got to be one of the best trips of our Disney lives!

Wilderness Lodge!

Day 1 started very early. We always take the first flight out of Pittsburgh to Orlando, and this year's happened to depart at 6:05!

At about 9:00 in the morning, we were on the Magical Express...

And by 9:45, we were at Wilderness Lodge!

Enough of the Lodge, though... It was time for Magic Kingdom!
We made our way to the dock and decided to take the first boat over--whether it be going to the Contemporary or MK... The Contemporary boat came first, so off we went with a short walk ahead of us!

At the dock, Juliet was greeted with the chance to get her first surprise, a ring of her choice!

Upon arrival, our first stop is usually Chapeau Hat Shoppe; however, they had no Spider-Man ears (my dream for this trip), so we rushed over to get our Sorcerers cards...

and stopped for a quick photo op on Main Street...

Before we did anything else, though, we had to meet a few special friends...

By now, it is 11:30, and we are starved. Time for our traditional first lunch, a hot dog at Casey's!

Julet decided to give Splash Mountain another try... she's a bit freaked out, though... She has it in her head that it is a huge drop.

Then, after a stop at Pirates and the Jungle Cruise, an afternoon parade!

Finally, our FastPass time came for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!!!!

Sunday the fourth was a warm one, so Juliet decided to cool off...

After this, we wrapped our day in the park with a meeting with Elsa and Anna!

Juliet even mentioned that she loves Harry Potter (oops!) and tried to teach Anna how to do some spells!

After this, it was back to the resort for dinner at Whispering Canyon. Sorry, no photos, as Juliet was a little cranky after being awakened at 2:45 am!

Day two started a bit slowly for us. Usually, we are rope drop sort of people, but the grind of awakening prior to 3 am the day before took it out of us. So, we chilled at the pool, deciding what to do.

Since we booked our vacation through the fabulous Shelly at Magical Vacations, we had a free pass to Blizzard Beach. We have never done a waterpark before (well, I did River Country in 1988), so this was a bit of a leap for us. We never wanted to blow the time at a water park when we could be in one of the big four... Were we surprised with how awesome it was!

And then, off to Epcot for our Fast Passes and dinner!

Finally, we went to see Aurora. Juliet was wearing her Sleeping Beauty dress from Maleficent. The cast member running the line loved the dress, so he asked if Juliet would like to escort Aurora out of France!!!
