Our next destination... It's a Small World *swoons*!

This is another one of those rides that I just can't soak in enough of the details on....

The timing worked out for us to see the clock tower show.

Here we go...

This picture makes me feel like cutting out paper snowflakes!

This was my first time on It's a Small World since they added in the characters. I adored the changes! Alice and the White Rabbit!

Toon Town is always a favorite for me. It is so picturesque IMO. It's less of a childhood fave and more of a teen fave as it was opened later in my life.

We almost immediately went to the right once entering and rode Roger Rabbit which was another teen or maybe just pre-teen fave growing up...

This ride is a bit jerky for my taste but I'm still glad we rode.

My Dad's a fisherman so I asked to take his pic by this sign. Do you think that smile might be a little forced?

It was time to find a bite to eat... We headed to Pluto's and Clarabelle's...

We had hot dogs for lunch followed by sweet treats! Reagan chose the Mickey ice cream sandwich...

So, we left off in Toon Town....

It was time to visit Mickey's house! First we took a quick spin in his sporty red convertible!

All the details just *melt* me!

We're now officially in the line to meet Mickey. They que is a fun place to look around though. Since he greets in the Movie Barn these are all props in this area....

When thinking about getting back to Toon Town in Disneyland getting to visit Donald's boat again was one of the things I was looking forward to the most. I'm quick to get a boat crush and I had the perfect scrapbook paper for these pictures already. Often for a scrapbooker it is all about the paper and embellishments!

Miss Daisy on Toon Lake! Love the Disney details!

The communication system on board. VERY sophisticated!

Sleeping quarters! Now that we've had lunch I could use a nap. They probably have that netting there for people like me who may or may not just curl up in Donald's hammock...

Donald's floating mailbox completely melts me! I want a mailbox on a buoy!

Miss Daisy on Donald's bow is an excellent touch!

Reagan tossed a coin into Toon Lake. I hope all this Little Man's wishes come true!

This was from Mickey's Movie Barn but I have a feeling it belongs to Donald, too!

We got a quick glimpse of Donald across Toon Town....

Next we visited Chip and Dale's tree house. I had forgotten about this treasure in Disneyland's Toon Town. Nice Surprise!

Reagan let me take his picture in Goofy's car. I wasn't sure why he was sitting in the back seat at first but soon realized he didn't want to be held accountable for running into the mailbox. Smart boy!

We both spent a moment with her wishing well...

We passed on meeting Minnie here *spoiler* but it worked out because we had a nice greet with her the next day at C.A.

On our way out of Toon Town we had another nice view of It's a Small World...

This ice cream display tried to tempt us but were still pretty content from our treats in Toon Town...

So many fantastic ears! I love them all!

I found this cute, little chipmunk huddled in the corner of the store. I decided to bring him with me. Surely I had room in the cutecase for him!

After those adorable Dumbo ears I was ready to head towards Dumbo's Flying Circus!

Next up.... Adventureland!

Our first must do is the Jungle Cruise!

That was fun... But not quite as much fun as the Enchanted Tiki Room!

My Dad and Reagan were having some silly fun together while we waited for the next show.

I probably enjoy the wait time show a bit more that I should...

I love that inside it is pretty much exactly how it has been all of my life....

Treehouse Time!

We had seen this tree house rendition when we were at Disneyland in Hong Kong. I was surprised to see that the California treehouse was now Tarzan themed, too. I'm glad that Magic Kingdom's is still Swiss Family Robinson.

Reagan was ready for a snack and tried his first Churro! It was a winner!

A glimpse of the Haunted Mansion. Reagan felt a little uneasy over the idea of a Haunted Mansion so we skipped it. I'm hoping he'll give this attraction a try when we visit Magic Kingdom this March.

We rode the train from the New Orleans Square station to Tomorrowland...

Next Stop... Tomorrowland and then Main Street!

I left off while we were riding the Disneyland Railroad. We got off in Tomorrowland since the Main Street station was being rehabed at the time.

Tomorrowland was pretty all lit up...

The goal was to find a place on Main Street to watch the parade. We ended up finding a bench down near the entrance which also made for a quick exit following the parade. Balloons as we made our way down Main Street.

We were seated across from Guest Services. I didn't think of it in the morning but wanted to get Reagan's 1st Disneyland CA Visit button...

We went into the Emporium and I chose these as my souvenir...

I had Reagan try on these ears. At some point he is going to need a new pair. His current pair is the set we got for him on his first visit to the World at 6 months old!

I really, really love the Duffy ears but still prefer a classic set I think.

This was a big moment for us! Reagan pin traded for the first time!! This sweet cast member also gave him a Disneyland Vinylmation! I had made lanyards for us for this trip and we wore them on and off. I was glad that he made a trade!

I checked back in with my Dad who was people watching and keeping our spot at the bench for the parade. It was getting chilly so I made a quick hot cocoa run for us.

Following the parade we headed back to my Aunt's home, about 10 minutes away, where we were staying. The next post will be the start of our 1st visit to California Adventure!

I had mentioned earlier in the trip report that we were able to stay at my Aunt's home while visiting Disneyland and California Adventure. She lives less than 10 minutes away.

She took really good care of us and I am so, so appreciative that we were able to visit her and stay with her a few days during this portion of the trip.

We each had a room. My room was very comfortable.

There was a little sitting area that I used each evening / morning to transfer pictures between each day's adventures....

The bath area was right in my same room...

I wore my new hidden Mickey souvenir earrings that I purchased the evening before at Disneyland...

We left pretty early and grabbed breakfast at Denny's on the way. We still had a bit of time to kill before California Adventure opened so we wandered in Downtown Disney a little. Reagan made friends with a duck!...

I was able to get some pictures in daylight while here. When we visited a couple of days prior it was getting dark...

LOVE the windows! One of each please!...

And finally.... we're in!

Dad loved this car right away so I snapped a pic of him with it. It looks like Reagan is telling him a secret of some sort....

I love the old time feel of it all!

Reagan is a Phineas and Ferb fan. He took this opportunity to get his pictures in some Perry the Platypus hats...

I checked out the Fast Pass line for Radiator Springs Racers right away. There was no way! The line wrapped through the park. So we just continued to wander and take it all in.

There was a Great and Powerful Oz promotion going on...

As we continued to wander we came across this great furniture near the Mad T Party area....

Our first ride of the day ended up being Monster's Inc. - Mike and Sulley to the Rescue. We were in the are and it was walk on. I knew nothing of this attraction prior and there is a certain Disney magic that comes with that.

With the ride being a walk on there wasn't a lot of time in the cue but I loved all they had going on there and did my best to capture some of the details in quick fashion....

In a flash Reagan was in the Monstropolis Taxi and we were on our way...

I do feel this ride was done well. We like the movies so that helps, too...

Totally enjoyed this ride! With Reagan at 5 1/2 it was just our speed... especially for a little boy who loves the movie.

When we exited Mike and Sulley to the Rescue onto Hollywood the Trolley was coming by....

Mickey himself was in the back of the trolley! You have to love these surprises at every turn! pure.Disney.magic!

We headed into Condor Flats next. The themeing did not disappoint....

We rode Soarin' next and this was a first for all of us and we were all impressed!

We continued to make our way through Condor Flats taking it all in....

We spotted this little plane and there was a line. We were pleased to see that Minnie was meeting there...

As we made our way past Grizzly Run I saw that they were distributing World of Color Fast Passes so we grabbed those. We also watched the ride a bit while Reagan decided if we should try it or not. He decided to pass this time.

We spent some time in Redwood Creek next...

The big redwood tree tunnels were great!

There were little activities to accomplish through the course. We were given a map to help us along the way.

I am looking forward to checking out Animal Kingdom's rendition of this when we visit this year!

We watched the Grizzly Run rafts a bit more before moving on to the Paradise Pier area...

After our time at the Redwood Challenge we made our way towards Paradise Pier. Our first stop in that area was the Little Mermaid ride...

We walked right on the ride... no wait! YaY! Pick a clam shell, any clam shell..

And we are on our way...

Ursula! (I think my 6 year old son is getting this movie from his cousins for Christmas. He asked for it because he thinks he may be brave enough to watch it now. Previously Ursula was just too scary. Poor guy! I'm looking forward to watching it again. We have LM 2 and Ariel's beginning but somehow we don't have the original.)

As we made our way around through Paradise Pier we had a special character meet with Jessie! This was our first time meeting her.

It was time for an ice cream break!

He's a good boy and knows to let me get a picture before eating Mickey's ears...

I had the frozen banana. It's what my Grandma Dorothy would always get when we visited Disneyland together. Dad had the chocolate chip, ice cream cookie sandwich. Yum!

Here comes the coaster again. I adored the boardwalk feel of this area!

It really wasn't a question since we tend to take things easy at this stage.

I left off just as we were about to get on the Toy Story Mania ride. This ride and Radiator Springs racers were our two longest waits of the entire trip. This one was just under 30 minutes and Radiator Springs Racers was just over. Not too shabby in the whole scheme of things...

I've been looking forward to getting back to this trip report! I've been a bit sidetracked by all the holiday festivities recently.

We left off as we were exiting the Paradise Pier area. "We Miss You Already"...

In this area Duffy has his own little gazebo where he greets! I was incredibly excited when we spotted this!

Look how adorable Duffy's spot is!!

Ariel's Grotto is in this same area....

Can't get enough of this themeing...

And I kept looking back at the lovely area we were leaving for one last picture...

Although it was hard to leave the pier area look at the wharf area we were about to enter!! Perfection at every turn! I.LOVE.DISNEY!

We didn't spend a lot of time in the wharf area. We were set on heading to....

CARSLAND!

We snuck in the back way near the pier which doesn't have quite the welcome that the sign at the main entrance but that didn't damper our enthusiasm!
