ry%3D480

Look how sweet these flowers as we exit It's a Small World are!
ry%3D480

Next up... Toon Town! I photograph it within an inch of it's life, too!

Toon Town is always a favorite for me. It is so picturesque IMO. It's less of a childhood fave and more of a teen fave as it was opened later in my life.

My little guy at the entrance...
ry%3D480

We almost immediately went to the right once entering and rode Roger Rabbit which was another teen or maybe just pre-teen fave growing up...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Our taxi awaits...
ry%3D480

A blurry Jessica Rabbit...
ry%3D480

Roger himself...
ry%3D480

This ride is a bit jerky for my taste but I'm still glad we rode.

My Dad's a fisherman so I asked to take his pic by this sign. Do you think that smile might be a little forced?
ry%3D480

The Gag Factory...
ry%3D480

I loved this "Year of the Ears" display!
ry%3D480

City Hall...
ry%3D480

The Ink & Paint...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Dad took this pic of me in the car. I wasn't sure what Reagan was doing in the moment but I see from the pic that he's giving me a push....
ry%3D480

I loved the camper food stand! It looks like Reagan would like some Doritos!
ry%3D480

We must be getting hungry. Dad said he wanted this sandwich that was propped up on top of the camper...
ry%3D480

The Jolly Trolley!
ry%3D480

Goofy's Gas... I love the fish swimming in the pumps!
ry%3D480

A very cute popcorn stand!
ry%3D480

It was time to find a bite to eat... We headed to Pluto's and Clarabelle's...
ry%3D480

We had hot dogs for lunch followed by sweet treats! Reagan chose the Mickey ice cream sandwich...
ry%3D480

sorry Mickey...
ry%3D480

I had the Mickey rice crispy treat...Yum!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I get extra points for sharing nicely!
ry%3D480

More from Toon Town in the next post...

So, we left off in Toon Town....
ry%3D480

It was time to visit Mickey's house! First we took a quick spin in his sporty red convertible!
ry%3D480

All the details just *melt* me!
ry%3D480

Reagan on the front porch!
ry%3D480

Looks like we'll get to meet Mickey after we visit his house *squee!*
ry%3D480

A Mickey shaped welcome mat!

ry%3D480

Reagan at Mickey's desk...
ry%3D480

Mickey's "to do" list. He's a mouse after my own heart!
ry%3D480

Reagan at Mickey's piano. Piano is the instrument that Reagan plays, too.
ry%3D480

Pluto's bed!
ry%3D480

Mickey's tv stand with Pluto's shelf up above...
ry%3D480

The wash machine and laundry room is too cute!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Into the potting shed...
ry%3D480

Pluto's dog house out back...
ry%3D480

We're now officially in the line to meet Mickey. They que is a fun place to look around though. Since he greets in the Movie Barn these are all props in this area....
ry%3D480

Reagan thinks Fantasia is the best! He can watch it over and over!
ry%3D480

Reagan explored this crazy contraption with another little girl....
ry%3D480

Costumes and props...
ry%3D480

And the moment we've all been waiting for! *drum roll* Meeting the Mouse! So worth the wait!
ry%3D480

Even more from Toon Town coming up in the next post!

When thinking about getting back to Toon Town in Disneyland getting to visit Donald's boat again was one of the things I was looking forward to the most. I'm quick to get a boat crush:love: and I had the perfect scrapbook paper for these pictures already. Often for a scrapbooker it is all about the paper and embellishments!

Look how adorable Donald's boat is! *crush*
ry%3D480

Miss Daisy on Toon Lake! Love the Disney details!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

The communication system on board. VERY sophisticated!
ry%3D480

Sleeping quarters! Now that we've had lunch I could use a nap. They probably have that netting there for people like me who may or may not just curl up in Donald's hammock...
ry%3D480

Donald's floating mailbox completely melts me! I want a mailbox on a buoy!
ry%3D480

Miss Daisy on Donald's bow is an excellent touch!
ry%3D480

Reagan tossed a coin into Toon Lake. I hope all this Little Man's wishes come true!
ry%3D480

This was from Mickey's Movie Barn but I have a feeling it belongs to Donald, too!
ry%3D400

We got a quick glimpse of Donald across Toon Town....
ry%3D480

Next we visited Chip and Dale's tree house. I had forgotten about this treasure in Disneyland's Toon Town. Nice Surprise!
ry%3D480

Their cute decor...
ry%3D480

And the tree top view over Toon Town...
ry%3D480

A snippet of Goofy's house...
ry%3D480

Reagan let me take his picture in Goofy's car. I wasn't sure why he was sitting in the back seat at first but soon realized he didn't want to be held accountable for running into the mailbox. Smart boy!
ry%3D480

Minnie's house is so precious!
ry%3D480

We both spent a moment with her wishing well...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We passed on meeting Minnie here *spoiler* but it worked out because we had a nice greet with her the next day at C.A.

On our way out of Toon Town we had another nice view of It's a Small World...
ry%3D480

This ice cream display tried to tempt us but were still pretty content from our treats in Toon Town...
ry%3D480

Coming up in the next post... Alice's neighborhood!

Teacup Pose!
ry%3D480

The teacup ride is so pretty!

ry%3D480

Dad found his favorite character's ears....
ry%3D480

Where'd Reagan Go!?!
ry%3D480

I have NO IDEA how I didn't purchase these ears! They might be the cutest ever!
ry%3D480

Reagan found his inner Minnie...
ry%3D480

So many fantastic ears! I love them all!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I found this cute, little chipmunk huddled in the corner of the store. I decided to bring him with me. Surely I had room in the cutecase for him!
ry%3D480

After those adorable Dumbo ears I was ready to head towards Dumbo's Flying Circus!
ry%3D480

Dumbo's topiary!
ry%3D480

Reagan and I took advantage of the photo op...
ry%3D480

Next up was King Arthur's carrousel...
ry%3D480

I adore this picture of my Dad and Reagan...
ry%3D480

I took Fantasyland pictures as we went round and round....
Pinocchio's Daring Journey
ry%3D480

Dumbo!
ry%3D480

Once off the carrousel we made our way out of Fantasyland towards the hub...
ry%3D480

Bibbidi, Bobbidi Boutique!
ry%3D480

Looking back at the front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle...
ry%3D480

ALWAYS have to take a moment to appreciate the Partner's Statue!
ry%3D480

While I was appreciating the Partner's Statue Reagan was appreciating the Pluto statue!
ry%3D480

Where to next? ADVENTURELAND! Coming up in the next post...

Our first must do is the Jungle Cruise!
ry%3D480

Looks like trouble...
ry%3D480

restless natives....
ry%3D480

That was fun... But not quite as much fun as the Enchanted Tiki Room!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

My Dad and Reagan were having some silly fun together while we waited for the next show.
ry%3D480

I probably enjoy the wait time show a bit more that I should...
ry%3D480

I love that inside it is pretty much exactly how it has been all of my life....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Tiki Madness...
ry%3D480

Treehouse Time!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We had seen this tree house rendition when we were at Disneyland in Hong Kong. I was surprised to see that the California treehouse was now Tarzan themed, too. I'm glad that Magic Kingdom's is still Swiss Family Robinson.
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

A jazz band playing in New Orleans Square...
ry%3D480

Reagan was ready for a snack and tried his first Churro! It was a winner!
ry%3D480

A glimpse of the Haunted Mansion. Reagan felt a little uneasy over the idea of a Haunted Mansion so we skipped it. I'm hoping he'll give this attraction a try when we visit Magic Kingdom this March.
ry%3D480

I took a walk up this direction...
ry%3D480

A peek at Splash Mountain...
ry%3D480

I have some fun canoe memories as a kid. They weren't operating this evening...
ry%3D480

The sailing ship...
ry%3D480

We rode the train from the New Orleans Square station to Tomorrowland...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Next Stop... Tomorrowland and then Main Street!

I left off while we were riding the Disneyland Railroad. We got off in Tomorrowland since the Main Street station was being rehabed at the time.

Tomorrowland was pretty all lit up...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

The goal was to find a place on Main Street to watch the parade. We ended up finding a bench down near the entrance which also made for a quick exit following the parade. Balloons as we made our way down Main Street.
ry%3D480

We were seated across from Guest Services. I didn't think of it in the morning but wanted to get Reagan's 1st Disneyland CA Visit button...
ry%3D480

We went into the Emporium and I chose these as my souvenir...
ry%3D480

I had Reagan try on these ears. At some point he is going to need a new pair. His current pair is the set we got for him on his first visit to the World at 6 months old!
ry%3D480

I really, really love the Duffy ears but still prefer a classic set I think.

This was a big moment for us! Reagan pin traded for the first time!! This sweet cast member also gave him a Disneyland Vinylmation! I had made lanyards for us for this trip and we wore them on and off. I was glad that he made a trade!
ry%3D480

I checked back in with my Dad who was people watching and keeping our spot at the bench for the parade. It was getting chilly so I made a quick hot cocoa run for us.

Some sweets in the cocoa shop...
ry%3D480

Apples, yum!
ry%3D480

More balloons out on Main Street...
ry%3D480

And here comes the parade!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

The Tangled Tower...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Tiana...
ry%3D480

Smee!
ry%3D480

Following the parade we headed back to my Aunt's home, about 10 minutes away, where we were staying. The next post will be the start of our 1st visit to California Adventure!

I had mentioned earlier in the trip report that we were able to stay at my Aunt's home while visiting Disneyland and California Adventure. She lives less than 10 minutes away.

She took really good care of us and I am so, so appreciative that we were able to visit her and stay with her a few days during this portion of the trip.

We each had a room. My room was very comfortable.
ry%3D480

There was a little sitting area that I used each evening / morning to transfer pictures between each day's adventures....
ry%3D480

The bath area was right in my same room...
ry%3D480

I wore my new hidden Mickey souvenir earrings that I purchased the evening before at Disneyland...
ry%3D480

We left pretty early and grabbed breakfast at Denny's on the way. We still had a bit of time to kill before California Adventure opened so we wandered in Downtown Disney a little. Reagan made friends with a duck!...
ry%3D480

I was able to get some pictures in daylight while here. When we visited a couple of days prior it was getting dark...
ry%3D480

LOVE the windows! One of each please!...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

And finally.... we're in!

Dad loved this car right away so I snapped a pic of him with it. It looks like Reagan is telling him a secret of some sort....
ry%3D480

I love the old time feel of it all!
ry%3D480

Reagan is a Phineas and Ferb fan. He took this opportunity to get his pictures in some Perry the Platypus hats...
ry%3D480

Agent P!
ry%3D480

I checked out the Fast Pass line for Radiator Springs Racers right away. There was no way! The line wrapped through the park. So we just continued to wander and take it all in.

Off the Page!
ry%3D480

There was a Great and Powerful Oz promotion going on...
ry%3D480

As we continued to wander we came across this great furniture near the Mad T Party area....
ry%3D480

Very fun!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

The Mad T Party Stage..
ry%3D480

I thought the theming in this area was great...
ry%3D480

Classic Mickey!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I fell in love with this tile work! It is so fun!
ry%3D480

It is right around the corner from the Fairfax Market...
ry%3D480

Coming up next is our first ride of the morning...

Our first ride of the day ended up being Monster's Inc. - Mike and Sulley to the Rescue. We were in the are and it was walk on. I knew nothing of this attraction prior and there is a certain Disney magic that comes with that.

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

With the ride being a walk on there wasn't a lot of time in the cue but I loved all they had going on there and did my best to capture some of the details in quick fashion....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

In a flash Reagan was in the Monstropolis Taxi and we were on our way...
ry%3D480

A bit of a better view of the taxi...
ry%3D480

along the way...
ry%3D480

It's Boo and Sulley!
ry%3D480

Love this scene they've imagineered....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I do feel this ride was done well. We like the movies so that helps, too...
ry%3D480

Another peek at Sulley from the taxi...
ry%3D480

Randy...
ry%3D480

Things are moving a bit quicker now. My camera can't really keep up. But I try...
ry%3D480

Lots of Doors!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

And nearing the end...
ry%3D480

A goodbye from Roz...
ry%3D480

Totally enjoyed this ride! With Reagan at 5 1/2 it was just our speed... especially for a little boy who loves the movie.

When we exited Mike and Sulley to the Rescue onto Hollywood the Trolley was coming by....
ry%3D480

Mickey himself was in the back of the trolley! You have to love these surprises at every turn! pure.Disney.magic!
ry%3D480

We headed into Condor Flats next. The themeing did not disappoint....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We rode Soarin' next and this was a first for all of us and we were all impressed!
ry%3D480

We continued to make our way through Condor Flats taking it all in....
ry%3D480

We spotted this little plane and there was a line. We were pleased to see that Minnie was meeting there...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

As we made our way past Grizzly Run I saw that they were distributing World of Color Fast Passes so we grabbed those. We also watched the ride a bit while Reagan decided if we should try it or not. He decided to pass this time.

ry%3D480

Love this guy!
ry%3D480

We spent some time in Redwood Creek next...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Reagan studied the map...
ry%3D480

The big redwood tree tunnels were great!
ry%3D480

There were little activities to accomplish through the course. We were given a map to help us along the way.
ry%3D480

The tracking patch...
ry%3D480

Crossing the netting bridges...
ry%3D480

This reminds me of my childhood. California had a strong Smokey the Bear education campaign.
ry%3D480

Just came down the redwood slide!
ry%3D480

I am looking forward to checking out Animal Kingdom's rendition of this when we visit this year!

We watched the Grizzly Run rafts a bit more before moving on to the Paradise Pier area...
ry%3D480

Little Mermaid coming up next...

After our time at the Redwood Challenge we made our way towards Paradise Pier. Our first stop in that area was the Little Mermaid ride...
ry%3D480

We walked right on the ride... no wait! YaY! Pick a clam shell, any clam shell..
ry%3D480

And we are on our way...
ry%3D480

Scuttle on accordion...
ry%3D480

Ariel showed us her collection!
ry%3D480

Under the sea...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Ursula! (I think my 6 year old son is getting this movie from his cousins for Christmas. He asked for it because he thinks he may be brave enough to watch it now. Previously Ursula was just too scary. Poor guy! I'm looking forward to watching it again. We have LM 2 and Ariel's beginning but somehow we don't have the original.)
ry%3D480

Kiss the Girl...
ry%3D480

King Triton..
ry%3D480

And they lived happily ever after...
ry%3D480

When we exited the ride Goofy was putting on quite the show on the water front!
ry%3D480

I cannot get enough of this view!
ry%3D480

I was SO happy to be seeing this icon in person!
ry%3D480

I couldn't stop taking pics!
ry%3D480

In perfect Disney fashion there continued to be something fun happening at every turn! Andy's Army Men were performing...
ry%3D480

Perfect Disney details!
ry%3D480

Seaside Souvenirs..
ry%3D480

Corn Dog Castle! If I knew then what I know now I would have stopped for a hotlink corn dog for sure!
ry%3D480

Jumpin' Jellyfish was our next ride! Walk on again!
ry%3D480

Reagan and I rode together and Dad rode solo this time...
ry%3D480

It's a pretty ride!
ry%3D480

As we left the ride Phineas and Ferb were approaching. My little guy is a big fan!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

More Paradise Pier coming up....

As we made our way around through Paradise Pier we had a special character meet with Jessie! This was our first time meeting her.
ry%3D480

Love her sassy pose!
ry%3D480

While in this area I had to get a picture of the Paradise Pier sign. Reagan has a pretty sassy pose himself!...
ry%3D480

Love him!
ry%3D480

Look up! Here comes the coaster!
ry%3D480

It was time for an ice cream break!
ry%3D480

He's a good boy and knows to let me get a picture before eating Mickey's ears...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I had the frozen banana. It's what my Grandma Dorothy would always get when we visited Disneyland together. Dad had the chocolate chip, ice cream cookie sandwich. Yum!

Here comes the coaster again. I adored the boardwalk feel of this area!
ry%3D480

Our next destination...
ry%3D480

To swing or not to swing...
ry%3D480

It really wasn't a question since we tend to take things easy at this stage.
ry%3D480

Our turn!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

The views of Carsland from up here were great! I was so excited to get to there.
ry%3D480

Continuing to make our way around...
ry%3D480

Time for Toy Story Midway Mania! Woo Hoo!
ry%3D480

The Mr. Potato Head barker was a treat!
ry%3D480

I took pictures of a lot of the posters in the queue. I had a plan to print them small and use them on my scrapbook page from this attraction.
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I'd say he's ready!
ry%3D480

The ride vehicles..
ry%3D480

My dad is ready, too!
ry%3D480

I'll have to continue this in the next post... I'm out of image space!

Thank you for sharing your trip. I love all your pics and can't wait for the next installment! :woohoo:

I left off just as we were about to get on the Toy Story Mania ride. This ride and Radiator Springs racers were our two longest waits of the entire trip. This one was just under 30 minutes and Radiator Springs Racers was just over. Not too shabby in the whole scheme of things...

Reagan in the ride vehicle!
ry%3D480

Scenes along the way...
ry%3D480

I love any of the rides that tell the story in a children's book sort of way!
ry%3D480

pink and green... awwww....
ry%3D480

From seeing scores here in trip reports I know these are REALLY pitiful scores. We had fun though. My excuse is that I was distracted by taking pics....
ry%3D480

Some more of the posters I photographed to embellish our scrapbook pages...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I see what I want to do next...
ry%3D480

King Triton's Carousel of the Sea!
ry%3D480

Look at this cute otter!
ry%3D480

Reagan chose a blue whale...
ry%3D480

my cutie!
ry%3D480

There were so many great choices...
ry%3D480

The music comes from here. Or at least that is the illusion and I believe!
ry%3D480

It looks like my dad rode a big mouth bass!:rotfl2:
ry%3D480

As usual, the details draw me in...
ry%3D480

We continued our walk through the Paradise Pier area and I loved the billboards...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Saying goodbye to Paradise Pier for now...
ry%3D480

I've been looking forward to getting back to this trip report! I've been a bit sidetracked by all the holiday festivities recently.

We left off as we were exiting the Paradise Pier area. "We Miss You Already"...
ry%3D480

In this area Duffy has his own little gazebo where he greets! I was incredibly excited when we spotted this!
ry%3D480

Look how adorable Duffy's spot is!!
ry%3D480

Ariel's Grotto is in this same area....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Can't get enough of this themeing...
ry%3D480

And I kept looking back at the lovely area we were leaving for one last picture...
ry%3D480

Although it was hard to leave the pier area look at the wharf area we were about to enter!! Perfection at every turn! I.LOVE.DISNEY!
ry%3D480

It's Pacific Wharf to be exact....
ry%3D480

We didn't spend a lot of time in the wharf area. We were set on heading to....

ry%3D480

CARSLAND!

We snuck in the back way near the pier which doesn't have quite the welcome that the sign at the main entrance but that didn't damper our enthusiasm!

How could it with views like this next one!...
ry%3D480

There's a peek of the Radiator Springs Racers track...
ry%3D480

The signage along the way is completely entertaining...
ry%3D480

I feel like I really lucked out with this next shot....
ry%3D480

I'll stop here and continue on with Carsland in my next post.
