A Last Hurrah Trip! We just didn't know it at the time. (A Pre-COVID Trip Report)

Wow. That was great to read.

Thinking about that time, I can’t believe no one knew it was the end of an era.

Thanks for sharing, I love to read about your trips!!
Thanks!!! It is crazy to think how we just didn't know what was in store for us! How the world would change so so much!

Thanks for sharing this trip report. I look forward to reading your next one!!
Thanks! I can't wait to have another one to share!

Great last day. It looks very relaxing and fun with no stress. We did LTT in May for lunch and it was the set menu. I hope they bring back the a la cart for lunch. We did enjoy the toffee but it was just too much food. Your girls have the Disney pout down pat. I always hate leaving. I think Dennis is the only one who is ever really ready to go.

Looking forward to when you're back and writing another report.

Gwen's leaving Disney face is a perfect visual summary of how we all feel going to our "real" homes. I know you feel a little "Blah" about the race cars being the last ride, however, it was the girls FAVORITE ride when they were younger so I felt the nostalgia there.

Oh my those are a lot of plushes! I am terrified of what S will be like with those in a few years! Right now her favorite toy is the tv remote and ripped up paper, so I should be good for at LEAST the next year or so!

I mean all kids love plushies but Gwen def has an overload love for them. She truely still loves all of htem. Which is why I dont' mind as much about getting so many. She is constantly switching which ones she sleeps with and displaying. Don't get me wrong we have a ton that also just sit in a basket but still.

Thanks so much for going back and doing this. I am sure it was hard to piece everything together almost 2 years later but it was so good to go back and relive "normal" times with you all. None of us knew we'd be gone for so long but hopefully some more Disney is right around the corner for you

I know! It's just crazy how much the world has changed...

I had so much catching up to do. Thank you so much for sharing your trips with us. I love all your details. And I'm so happy that Saturday at HS wasn't your last day! I have our tickets booked for 2/9-2/15 for Cheer Nationals. One step closer to getting back to my happy place.

I'm all caught up and here for the end, I guess!

Thanks for sharing! It's so funny to see a lot of things that are no longer, especially those fast passes!

Look Mom, A giant pile of Dirt!

That pile of dirt has come a long way!

I love this lady! That would be my nightmare to get my hair done this way.

That's my husband's favorite girl!

8:00 on the day, I logged in and got us Group #..........

yay!

And we had some PERFECT timing!!! It started to pour as we got to the ferry stop! And a boat had just pulled up! So, we hopped on the boat and headed back to the room to relax!

Perfect! We love taking breaks from the parks too!

this next morning was one of those not so great mornings)

Uh, oh!

It took all the way till 10:00 to get inside the building!
And we were finally ready to ride at 10:20. So, a full 2 hours!!! It was NOT great! And I have to admit it really soured us for the rest of the morning.

Oh my! I think we would have skipped it…or done single rider!

Gwen claims this is here favorite meal on property...

We've eaten at B & C a couple times recently and I find it to be just…okay. We actually canceled our ADR in October because we had just been in August. But definitely go and get those shakes or ice cream!

Again, we probablly should have walked. We would have been there MUCH faster.

Exactly! Especially since you had to back track to the EP skyline station.

We were escorted out after this and were free. We found out that the smoke from the fireworks show tends to trigger the alarm at Toy Story Mania. And that is what had happened. So, my tip, don't ride TSM during fireworks, unless you WANT to be evacuated!

That's scary, I hope they at least offered fast passes!

We are laying low mostly to let the girls fully recopurate from there illnesses. They are both pretty much back to normal

Oh, I'm sorry they were sick but glad to hear they are getting better!

Looks like we managed to grab one last photo in front of the castle.

We left Magic Kingdom a little before 2 and were back at the resort a little after 3.

Always such a sad day!

Somehow I missed all the October notifications, so I just finished up this TR! It was wonderful to read about "normal" pre-Covid times at WDW!!! Love your matching sweatshirt with Gwen--that one is super cute, and I don't remember seeing it anywhere before!

Jimmy would love (and be insanely jealous of) all the plushies!!! Stuffed animals are his absolute favorite, and we have a ton of them, though as I'm thinking about it, he has only gotten a few of them on one of our trips. Most came from trips to the Disney Store, which makes me sad just thinking about the fact that they are almost all gone :(

Thanks for reliving this wonderful trip!! Can't believe almost 2 years have gone by since you were there--I cannot wait for the TR of your return trip!! :)

Thanks for following along! We had a great time! And def didn't think it would be a full 2 years before we would be back.
Thank you so much for sharing another trip with us! I enjoyed this so much, and it was so nice to remember a time at Disney when Covid wasn't a word we all knew so well :guilty: Like you, I never imagined it'd be two years before I was back at Disney and it's still so hard to believe. Looking forward to hearing about plans for your next trip! Thanks again for sharing :goodvibes It's been so wonderful seeing your girls grow up at Disney over these last many years.
