Hello....
My in-laws are coming up on their 50th wedding anniversary this June. We are trying to plan something special for them and include at least their children and grandchildren. Our loose plan for now, is to book rooms for 2 or 3 nights at the Wilderness Lodge - MIL has always wanted to stay there and never will do it unless we plan this and take them. I'm thinking we'll need at least 4 rooms, for 8 adults and 3 children. Is there any benefit to a Grand Gathering? I read over the info and it didn't really seem it to me. My suggestion to DH, was to take an Illuminations cruise and I thought I read somewhere we can arrange to have dessert on that cruise? Is that right, has anyone done this? MIL has requested a party and I am also thinking, well....where could we do this and not have to all take out 2nd mortgages to pay for this fiesta? I then thought about the Atlantic dance Hall at Boardwalk. I stopped in there one time and really liked it. But is that too "young" for them? They are 70, but young and hip 70!
Maybe I should contact a special event coordinator at Disney? What do you guys think? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.
TIA
