I currently have a multi trip policy which is due for renewal at the end of August. I'm going to contact my insurer this week to check for any possible problems for when I renew.
I'm surprised you can't buy any yet as my insurer recommended buying insurance as soon as you book.

There may be some level of insurance for other risks, but nobody will cover COVID-19 right now for as long as there is a travel advisory to the US. And considering hospital bills for COVID have been topping $1M, that is a risk not worth taking! Especially since cases in Florida are increasing.

We already have flights booked (booked back in January) but unless we can get travel insurance, won’t be able to go.
