Anyone know when Disney usually releases After Hours party dates? Hoping they have them in spring of 2024.

It's unpredictable whether they will have them even next month just say nothing about 2024. Your guess is as good as anybody else's.

I was under the impression that since there was a charge similar to that of a holiday party that tickets need to be sold. One would think that they release them pretty far in advance for sales.

The initial announcement for this year’s After Hours events came late September last year with the first batch of events made on sale early October.

January 2023 events were announced in the Disney parks blog on September 27, 2022. They have only been announced about 3 months in advance from what I remember. They’re not announced as far in advance as the holiday parties are. They have a lot less tickets to sell, so they don’t need as much lead time.

I've been checking daily for news related to this. I really want to do After Hours at Hollywood studios in early January.

Well, Disney lost me on this one. I went ahead and just booked a night at Universal instead. We were just sneaking in one park day while away with my husband on a work trip. I didn’t feel like dealing with genie+ and getting up at 7, and blah blah for one park day, so was hoping for an option for an evening hours ticket. But, as it’s mid October I got tired of waiting and looking into Universal as an alternative and I’m sold! Staying onsite for one night and will be eligible for express pass at no extra charge and early entry and easy access to park - SOLD!

The parks close out completely and reopens with AH events, right?
I’m not sure what you mean by “close out completely”. If the park closes at 9pm, then CMs at various points will check to make sure you have an Evening Hours ticket/band to proceed. If you do not they directly to the exit. With an evening hours ticket you can get in I believe at 6pm so during normal
park hours, so you get to enjoy park and fireworks where applicable before the actual start of the event. So the park doesn’t completely clear out if that’s what your asking.

Oh ok. Gotcha.

I think lately they've been building in 30 minutes of time between the park close and the exclusive event start. They don't forece everybody out though, just sweep and check bands.

Glad they finally released them. I was definitely hoping for 2 AH Parties per week at different parks like this year but that does not seem to be the plan for 2024. Only 1 night at MK the week I am there....bummer!
