We ended up buying DVC (AKV also) on our trip in March. We signed up to do the tour on our free day mostly to get the fastpasses. I've wanted to buy DVC since we started going but DH mostly suffers Disney for me and the kids. Imagine my surprise after the presentation when DH told the guy we would definitely be buying. Congrats !! FWIW, we are booked for 10 days in March 2013 during Spring Break at the BCV - we had no problems getting it at our 7 month mark.

We have always gotten BCV every time we've tried. We also own AKV, but won't try out that resort until next summer. It's hard to stay away from BCV.

Hi there, I'm so happy to have found this thread. Such detailed info, so many of my questions answered and anxieties allayed! My family and I are visiting yacht club from the UK this autumn from 30th Ocober to 13th November. It is our first visit to Disney and a special treat for us all since our home was destroyed in a flash flood a year ago. We're still not home yet but the anticipation of this once in a lifetime trip is a great distraction for me as well as DH, DS (14), DS (10) and Darling D (5). I look forward to continuing my info gathering here!

By the way...last week we did not see a BB flyer in our room, and I know they were in the process of switching them over. I decided to call the BB extension (8844 I think?) and spoke to an AWESOME CM who told me that the BB had JUST come out for free dining in Aug and Sept 2013. I figured that is what the offer was going to be. Well.....I don't really want free dining, I want the awesome 35% I received in March and used for this past stay. She told me that even if I booked the FD, and a better offer came out before our dates, that they would switch it! Hoping this is true, and I can't see how it won't be since we switched our reservation so many times this spring!

So....Dee, drumroll please, can you add us to the Be Our Guest List for August 18, 2013, Beach Club!!!

skimmed through the last few pages of posts and saw the HH closure but didnt see anything posted about the fact that the solarium has been temp transformed into the gym. According to a post in the DVC board.

May we ask what it is you are drinking???

We use We Go Shop do I was drinking a vodka and juice from our room. I did see Roxie so had to order a drink from her since she was also from Boston proper!

Really? I admit I only strolled over once, but there were about 42 kids sitting in all the chairs, sloshing breakfast around while watching cartoons.

It was beautiful, but anything but peaceful!

Really? We were always the only people in there....there might have been one or two people sitting in the hallway leading up the main room.

It is almost that time!

If you are staying club level in September, could you do me a favor and ask IPO to send you a file with the activities schedule for the month?

Thanks. There have been a few posts about this (not as many as HH is getting, though) and some pictures on page 87 (post 1299)

It is a shame that all of the furniture has been taken out of the beautiful Solarium.

Everybody look left, everybody look right.... oops sorry, just been watching movie on the beach on our last night here at Yacht Club complete with a tube of 50 glowbands.

We have just handed over the Noodle Family to Georgiasmummy (photos to follow) and I really feel as though I have just been through a very messy divorce

Most of the packing is done, I just need to figure out how the bridal shop got my wedding dress in that itsy bitsy tiny suitcase

Anyone check out the thread about the Swan/Dolphin pool? Apparently it is overgrown with Algae and they are claiming to allow guests usage of BWI pool and stormalong bay instead! I hope that is not the case but wanted to give a heads up!

I have sympathy, I really do, but Swan/Dolphin aren't Disney hotels. Something doesn't add up here. Maybe if WDW wanted to help a bit without crowding Disney guests at SAB, they could give some passes to the water parks. Just an idea.

On the other hand, this situation stinks for Swan/Dolphin guests. I didn't read anything that says there is signage at the pool that states it's closed. Doesn't sound like it's roped/fenced off, either. If it's as bad as posters say, it's absolutely a health hazard. Ugh.

That's cool that your traveling companion loves globes. Just in case you don't know, there's a big honkin' one that comes out into the middle of the World Showcase Lagoon every night around 9.

Has anyone found a coffee pod to work in the coffee makers in the YC rooms, that taste like real coffee? We are BIG coffee drinkers, and would like to be able to ale a good cup in my room when I want.

I've never been lucky enough to stay in a suite (although I did peek in a few when our CL rooms were close!). I would loved to have been in the Presidential Suite - temporary CL lounge - too.

Thanks for the positive thoughts. We've been boarding up the windows, putting everything we can away that could fly, got the generator out, & DH is getting some sand bags. So hopefully it'll all be okay. We just have to wait it out.

Hopefully you got your answer about the noodles. Here's the info for you, and anyone else signed up for the swap:

The best thing to do is contact the person who has the noodles before you, and after you, by PM to make arrangements. If that doesn't happen, then the default is to pick them up and then drop them off at Beach Club Bell Services under the name "Noodle" (Mrs. Noodle or Noodle Family)

If you get a CM at bell services who doesn't know what you are talking about, ask for George or Luigi (there's a couple of others, too, who know the score)

Don't forget to tip the bell services CMs!

Met Pink Girl and her lovely family last night. We are trying to console the noodle family after the break up
