2008 Wedding

We are hoping for the first week in May 2008. We aren't too fussy with it being on the weekend since we have people coming in for a week instead of the weekend. Fingers crossed we will get it. Our wedding planner has said that so far no one else is looking for that day. Here is hoping!!!!!:tink:

I have my fingers crossed for you! We too are having people come over for longer, two weeks I think for most of them, so we're not too worried either, although DF wants to avoid it being onhis birthday or my BIL's birthday either, so we've a little bit of date-dodging to do.

Hi

I'm from the UK also getting married may 1st 2007, not long now can't wait:yay:

I hated having to wait till 1 year before we could book our date you feel so much better once it's booked then you can enjoy all the planning!:)

We also decided to go abroad thinking it would be much cheaper than getting married at home but how wrong was i all the extra's and the honeymoon....it's probably turning out to be the same amount as if i had stayed in the UK and done it!! :rolleyes1

oh well it will definely be worth it, you can't have Cinderella's coach or have Mickey and Minnie turn up in the UK!!:rotfl2:

Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun!

I'm also getting married in 2008. On March 4. I'm currently waiting for the 2008 prices to come out in order to sign things and send in my deposit. It's driving me crazy to wait! Does anybody happen to know when those prices usually come out?

December 08 here hopefully the 13th at the wedding pavillion. Too many wonderful choices for the reception. Leaning towards the Boardwalk though. I can't wait until December comes so I can really start planning. I'm going to DW on vacation for 9 days leaving Saturday with my DF and sisters we're going to look at possible wedding and reception sites. GL on all of our planning it's going to be great Hakuna Matatta!!

I just wanted to say good luck to all you Disney brides. My five year disney-versary is coming up in August! Try not to stress the details because Disney makes planning a breeze! I met with my FTW planner for eight hours one day and worked the rest out by phone. When you meet, have some definite ideas (colors, theme, etc.). I even had a picture of the cake I wanted that I found in a magazine and they made an exact replica.
If you are looking for something for a evening dinner, my suggestion is the to book the room on the second floor of the Living Seas (if it is still available). That is where I had my reception. We took a Disney bus backstage and were escorted up to the 2nd floor. We had a whole wall that looked right into the aquarium and when people left, they were able to stay at EPCOT and watch Illuminations. It was a great way to kick off the wedding festivities.
Also, we took our wedding party to a Luau. They had a special dance for newlyweds (we thought we were close enough). It was another magical memory that we have!

We've agreed on "October-ish" 2008. It seemed like forever when we decided on it last night, but come to think of it, it's not so far off!
Especially not when you see other people planning for the same thing!

Hi everyone,
I am probably worrying about this way to soon, but I was hoping someone could help me on here. I am having my wedding on March 4, 2008 at 2:30 at sunset point. I want to eat afterwards at california grill or narcooses. I also want to do the wishes cruise after that. What time should I arrange for all of this to take place? Does anybody have any opinions or tips on the timing of this? Thanks so much.
