For those of you who have been on the first cruise after a dry dock, do you get to board sooner and/or get into your rooms sooner since there are no other passengers getting off to clean up after that morning?

Thanks to anyone who replies. Our group has been wondering this for awhile since we will be on the Wonder cruise on Sept 20th after dry dock.

They are generally still working on some last minute clean up so boarding is as normal. There may be a few places that are sill off limits even the first couple of days, although that is unusual, it can happen. Passengers usually won't notice, they try very hard to keep the impact to a minimum.

Well, you can search past posts and find out what you might find onboard the first cruise or two after a drydock has happened. Most are threads complaining about how much is still being worked on. One time the spa equipment was out of place as the renovations were being finished for a couple weeks. Not long ago someone posted pictures of the brown water in the pools on the short cruise after drydock and they were closed for two days. The ship is never completed within the short timeframe of a drydock. However, every time one approaches people with past experience post advice and others get upset about that advice -- then usually come back after their cruise and post about what happened, not usually in a good way.

You can find them by doing an advanced search for "drydock" in titles only in this forum.
