We ate here in January and by far it was our favorite. I got the , I think, the short ribs with cheese grits. I could have bathed in the cheese grits and I'm from the south so I'm pretty persnickity about my grits!
We felt the same in January. We stayed at The Contemporary and got new towels and begging and pleading for new sheets (got syrup on them) on day 4. That was it.
We said the same thing. We always stay at the Contemporary and for $750 + a night I expect clean towels . I HATE how they have the shampoo and shower gel bolted to the wall. Again, for $750 + a night you better give me my little shampoo and shower gel!
We had it as late as Jan 2020. I agree. When you're paying $700 + for a hotel, it does amount to the extra little special touches like that. My kids and grandkids really enjoyed it as well!

Can you still request turndown service at the deluxe hotels? It’s always been a little cherry on top for our stays at the Contemporary for the past 18 trips. I mean it’s not like I’m going to cancel the trip if they don’t put out the chocolate but my daughters, and grandkids always look forward...
So, we will be at Universal for 1/11-1/12. Will be staying at Sapphire Falls so no express pass. Should we need the express pass if we want to do the majority of things, except for the major (Hulk and such) roller coasters?
Now, I have been to Disney, many, many times but neve during January. I thought I’d miss the crazy days by waiting Togo afterthekids are back-in school. Yet the crowd levels are still busy then. Anyone experienced during this time?
This will be my first time staying at the Polynesian. We usually stay at the Contemporary when we go but this December we got a great deal at the Polynesian. My aunt who is 80 will be with us. She will have a scooter but likes a room where she can people watch. If we have a standard view...
