    Marathon Weekend 2023

Wow! Got in for the marathon. I was debating on a smaller distance, but really wanted to do the marathon. When I went in to register, it was the only thing left and now sold out! This feels like the fastest I ever recall for events selling out. Question: I have a link to view my documents and...

    Dopey Worth It?

I did Dopey once and in my opinion it was totally worth it. I never saw myself as a runner, but Disney got me to try a 5k. After the 5K, I wanted to do a half. Then the marathon, Goofy, and so what else could I do but go for Dopey! For me, the focus of the long weekend was the race and pretty...

Thank you for the information. I will hold on to hope for now. Maybe in 2022….

Will the Grand Floridian have live music for Christmas time?

I am pleased the piano player is still playing but I miss the orchestra greatly. If the Instruments are still on the stage could it mean they might possibly return at some point?

Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

More than 48 hours post Pfizer # 2. Same as vaccine 1, just a sore arm. I switched arms this time (to even things out :) ). The shot hurt a little more going in this time, but maybe that was the vaccinator or I was more tense, not sure. Arm was a little more sore than the last time too...

Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

My DH had his second Pfizer on Wednesday. So far just a sore arm. It was worse than vaccine 1, but not too bad. I talked him into taking Tylenol once for the pain, but he would not take anything after that. Moving arm really helps he said.

Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

34 hours post first Pfizer. No side affects except sore arm. Same with DH (Pfizer) and SIL (Moderna).

Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

Nearly 48 hours post my mother’s second Pfizer and no symptoms except a little itching at injection site about 10 minutes after vaccine was given and only mild soreness at injection site which has been steadily diminishing.

Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

My MIL -90s- got her second Pfizer vac. Pretty much no side effects, except some bruising at vaccination site this time. She says she feels fine and I think very happy she has had it!

Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

So my 75 yo mother got her first Pfizer vaccine. (No reaction other than a bit of a sore arm for a few hours and a slight headache that could be sinus related and not from vaccine. All pretty much went away by nighttime.) And after that I found out about the problem of pinching the skin when...

Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

My 95 yo MIL received her vaccine, Pfizer, first dose last week. Mild sore arm and was feeling chilled for a few days. But those have been the only side effects so far. I will report back when she receives her second dose. She still lives on her own and was able to take advantage once...

    Marathon Weekend 2020

I thought this past marathon weekend was wonderful! It was a whirlwind trip this time, but I had a blast! I know many, many do not like the heat. But these weekends are as much of a warm weather vacation for me as running the races. So for me, I cannot complain about the temps. - I only ran...

    Marathon Weekend 2020

That is really cool! Congratulations! So there were a number of people collapsed on the side of the course marathon day? That is indeed scary. As earlier runners came trickling back to my hotel, they looked pretty exhausted.
