    Wine Country Trattoria?

I have not been since pre-covid, but it was always our goto sit down when our girls were younger. It was always a very comfortable place to take a break while still being surrounded by Disney magic. The food isn't great, but it's not bad.

Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

Thanks to all of the advice on these boards, we got Boarding Group 15 this past Thursday. We had four phones going for it and three of them were logged into the same account (my kids are on my account instead of their own) What we did was I had my apple watch running with seconds showing, then...

****Official DLR July Check In 2.0****

Yes, unfortunately many of us in the Bay Area have N-95s with vents from the wildfires. The vents make it much easier to breath while still protecting ourselves. For Covid, it's the opposite, we can't have the vents because they don't protect other people. Same thing with the holes.

Are you going to DLR this summer or skipping it due to SWGE crowds? I can't decide!

We usually go in Jan/Feb due to a random three day weekend our kids have. The past two years, we have also gone in the summer but typically we go every 2-3 years in the summer. We just got back and it was with the understanding that we likely won't go back for probably 2 years. We do love...

    Ticket types

My family (including DDs 13 and 10) would MUCH prefer 3 day hoppers over 4 day non hoppers. We always do 3 days and we go hard :) We use maxpass and hop like crazy. We have fun going back and forth and getting onto as many rides as possible. We pull MaxPasses all day long and typically book...

    RSR FP x 2

We were there on Friday with 9:00 opening. Our friends who had EE pulled FP for RSR at 8:25 for 9:55 - 10:55. We got into the park at 8:45 and pulled 10:50 - 11:50. I'm not sure how early they allow non-EE to enter the park, but we entered 15 minutes before opening and were able to pull fast...

Frustrated with lack of photopass in Disneyland

We just got back from three days and I definitely saw MORE PP Photographers than the past couple of years. We saw them with many outdoor characters and several standing (with lines) in popular photo areas. It's definitely the most I've seen in a while, so maybe they are ramping back up to get...

    Hyatt Place or SpringHill suites?

For our last six trips, we have stayed at one of Hyatt House, Springhill Suites, or the newest Residence Inn Convention Center. I love them all. I love the size of the rooms, the included breakfast, and the distance to Disneyland. I think it is a great value. It is also very convenient to be...

Disneyland in Feb - Universal worth 1 day? Back to the Future?

I know you have already decided against it, but I wanted to say that we went with our kids last summer and had a great time. The only disappointment for us WAS the backlot tour. Both DH and I have fond memories of it as kids and we were both very let down.

How long is your midday rest/nap if you want to go back to close the parks?

We have a 13 and 9 year old and have been going to DL at least once a year for the past 11 years. We typically take a long lunch break in DTD, but this trip (last week) was the first time we have gone back to the hotel since the 13 year old was under 5. We went back more because it was SOO hot...

    DtD The Void

I get motion sickness fairly easily. I can do CA Screaming once, but then no more coasters for a few hours. I can't do Star Tours, Space Mountain, or anything that spins (even slowly). I had NO problem at all with the VOID. It was very fun and I would do it again.

2nd vs 3rd week in August

I asked the same question last year. We ended up going with the second week and it was amazing. Of all of our trips in the past 5 years, it was definitely the most manageable. We were there Monday - Thursday. I think the combo of some schools being back and AP being blocked was the perfect...

Meal stops on 5 between SF and Disneyland

We've been doing similar to Whistlebee. We order a Starbucks lunch from my phone, stop in, use the bathroom, grab the food, and go. We are usually stopped for 15 minutes, so it's super fast. We don't much like traditional fast food either.

Which side of the Matterhorn is less painful?

I only went on the Fantasyland side and it was so painful, I skipped the ride the next time the kids went on. However, my husband did ride both sides and he said the Tomorrowland side was even worse! I couldn't believe it. I think it's a ride I won't be enjoying any longer :(

    Soarin'

We were there this week and managed to do Soarin twice with Fast Passes. They were the second pass we booked each of the days we did it, so it doesn't have to be the first and I wouldn't wait in line. It seemed like they were trying to keep the Fast Pass line fast, so the regular line was...

What could we accomplish in an hour?

I think if you are there an hour before opening, you should be one of the first at the rope and therefore, first on PP. If you are one of the first, you will have time to do many rides before 10:40. As the others have suggested, I think it would be best to cover everything you want in...

    Hyatt Place or Hyatt House

We stayed at the Hyatt House on our last trip and really enjoyed it. It was a good walking location and we never didn't walk. Honestly, the hardest part of the walk was waiting for the two lights at Harbor and Katella to change! The breakfast was good and the kids enjoyed the pool. The hotel...

    Which week in August?

Thanks for your replies! We haven't decided yet, but are leaning towards the later week due to hotel prices and the hopes that most kids will already be in school for the day!

    Which week in August?

We are planning an end of summer trip and have two sets of dates in mind. We have been to Disneyland many times, so we don't need to do everything, but we don't want to be stuck in unmovable crowds like we were last October. My kids are older, so they prefer thrill rides to Fantasyland, but we...
