We stayed at the Springhill Suites on Ball Road and walked Walnut. We then cut through the parking lots after Mickey & Friends parking structure to security at Downtown Disney. We liked it. It was about a 15 minute walk to the turnstiles.

We stay in a Standard room on the second floor. I like to stay where the stairs are. They are a little smaller rooms but they have a small table and chairs on the balcony/walkway.

I have used Genie+ in combination with DAS and it works great. You coordinate DAS with Genie+ times as they don’t expire. Just remember the DAS person has to ride when using DAS.

I did this right after they opened and before Genie+. I purchased it at the photo place just to the left of the turnstiles to Disneyland. They were very helpful and it worked great. Keep in mind that you get any photos taken of you during your race.
