2018 Free Dining Watch Thread V3

I accidentally booked one too many nights. Will I be able to cancel one night only or will I lose my whole package deal? I have 6 nights and I need only 5.
 
ive been calling since 7am. i cant get through even to be put on hold on line i just get stitch I was up both night waiting for disney visa info. Im exhausted and so frustrated.

I am so sorry! Don't give up. A lot of rooms are going to drop off and be added into inventory, so things can change.
 
I got through on-line about 5:30 and made a reservation but have not received the confirmation e-mail yet and the $200 reservation charge has not shown up on the card yet so I am a little nervous. I cannot get into my account to confirm as when I go to the Disney World Resort website I only get an advertisement page and any links go either back to that page or to Stitch eating the page. Hopefully I really did get through and it just taking time to process. Is anyone else experiencing that?
The site is down for me too. I went to check on a room only discount and everything I clicked on was Stitch eating the page :headache:
 
Is there a code for the Disney Visa offer or does anyone have a link to the offer? Stitch ate all my pages on the Disney Website and I have literally dialed 112 times to try to get through on phone lines. Thanks!
 


For those who added or modified today to are you able to use the MDE app now? Mine is being glitchy, won't let me log in. I've already gotten a confirmation email about FD, but wanted to check to be sure it's showing on MDE. Maybe it's being affected by all the traffic? I'm not very high tech, so not sure!

Call and see. I had to drop a few nights off a reservation and ended up having to book a garden room. It was still less though than if I stayed the weekend, so I paid it.
 
I think everyone needs to send guest services an email about the website simply bc the website hasn't been right in 2 months! Disney had to be aware bc ppl have been calling to complain. While I can kind of understand some system issues bc thousands of ppl are trying to book free dining, on the other hand its ridiculous that the biggest booking day of the yr Disney system wasn't fixed in time to be able to work for their guests...Not everyone can call they are at work, or on the road...Am I the only one completely irritated by this? I was able to add the free dining to my family trip but Im still irritated that so many cant even get on to the system..

Are you able to modify if you go in to Change Reservation?
I had to do change mine late 2017 (My job wouldn't give me the Monday at the end of the trip off) and it took a while on the phone and I was transferred, but they finally let me.

You are nto the only irritated one. A few years back it was my 180 dining day and BOOM!!! Discount day! Are you kidding me????? I could not get thorough for anything. The website crashed. The phone lines crashed. It was a mess.

No surprise ... is this one of the most restrictive free dining options? Whew .. 5 nights .. with tickets .. with hoppers .. that's a lot of money to throw down for "free" dining. Though .. I'd be all on-board if it fell within my planned dates.

Shows how crowded Oct/Nov will be though considering they don't offer it then.

Are there room only discounts released now too? I don't see any of the posts listing them (and the website is down, of course).

I can’t use anything right now. I was able to check the app before it went down and my reservation was there.
 
I got Pop for 9/29 to 10/3- had my email confirmation by 5:15 AM! I booked with QS, assuming it won't be a problem to upgrade dining later if we want. Has anyone had any problems upgrading dining later?
 
I can't get into anything. Does anyone know the dates and restriction details on the off chance I get through and there's something left? Thanks!

I’m completely irritated. This isn’t my first rodeo with free dining and I feel it’s the most problems I have had online. I’m not even booking for me, for a friend. They should have way better infrastructure, no reason for this
