Also, we tried to puch for a transfer to AoA suite but they said they could not transfer our free dining package. Is that really correct as you can buy the dining package in those hotels so not clear why it could not be transferred. is that just an excuse?

Feeling very uneasy as we are staying 12 nights and costing us a lot of money for the holiday we never chose.

We're also travelling from the UK with girls who will be 13 and 11. We've just taken up the option to switch from CBR to POR. Although we love POR, we couldn't justify the extra cost of POR over CBR when prices came out so booked CBR.
On hearing that we were going back to POR both were delighted; they love the boat to Disney Springs and the food court is, if not the best resort food court, then second only to Pepper Market at CSR.
The four bus stops mean that nowhere is too far away. Even if you are at the northern most end of the resort, just hop on the first bus which arrives and ride round to the main building - although we really didn't mind the 5-6 minute walk from our room near the west bus stop walk to the food court the resort is so pretty.
We switched before the $75 per night compensation was confirmed and I'm pleased we did but, over $1,000 in gift cards over a 2 week stay would have made the decision much more difficult - it would more than cover the difference between upgrading from QSDP to DDP for all four of us for the fortnight!!!

I stand corrected! I just got an email stating they're increasing the dollar amount to $75 US per night in Gift Cards! WAY TO GO DISNEY!!!

Call me a cautious person, but is there any reason to be concerned that I will have a hard time getting my gift card at check in? I received the email today that has my confirmation number and check in date in the text. We have never stayed onsite, and worry that this is too good to be true.

I wonder if those that already got the $75/night room credit will still get the $75 gift card too. It doesn't really seem fair for some to get both and not all

I received confirmation from a Guest Services Cast Member that we'd be eligible for the $75/night gift card at check-in; we also received the initial $75/night credit.

print the email just in case, but you should have no problem at all.

Print out your email from Disney and take it with you when you check in. That's what I'm doing.

My $75/night discount has already been applied to my balance owing, so I highly doubt they would go in to reverse the credit. My email revising the gift cards from $25 to $75/ night is addressed to me with my reservation number and length of stay, so I fully expect to be receiving both offers

Personally I would not count on any them releasing discounts or free dining for the duration of this offer. And I would be cautious to count on other moderates being included in discounts also... PO is often excluded anyway and with the lack of food options im betting a lot of people will book elsewhere.

Same here. I got the $25 gift card email and now the $75 gift cards all for my end of April stay. We will be there the week before construction is supposed to start. It makes me think that while the actual construction isn't starting until May 1st, they may already be prepping the areas the week before.

I am printing both emails and taking them with me to show that I received them both.

I believe it's $75 instead of $25, not both

And for all you potentially dehydrated Disers (and other guests), there will be a "bar trailer" in the parking lot next to the air conditioned food tent. On the pool side I would imagine. I'll be there next week, and will try to learn more.

Staying end of Sept. Called and they moved us from 2 rooms in CBR to a 2 bedroom villa at SS. I also asked about free dining because that was a major consideration for us and the first CM said yes but the second I spoke to said no and that regardless of where we moved to, we'd have to pay the difference and our price adjustment for the move would be void. Though seeing as there are inconsistencies, I am not sure how this will play out. I appreciate the move, however I payed full rack for what I thought I was getting at CBR and was banking on free dining. Even though we're technically paying less for what we are getting at SS, I still didn't anticipate paying that much, so we'll see.
