Are you able to not have the turn down service in the morning or evening? I just plan on having my sign up the entire cruise.

From the Cruise Contract:I would talk to your cabin host. Even though you have the tag on the door they may have the same policy as the resorts where they still do a daily security check.
They kept asking because it is their job and they live on tips. You sound like a real treat.I have done it, never said anything to the room host. He did keep asking if I needed anything witch I found annoying. I have no problem if they need to enter to for security checks. I think they did call the room once, but left a message, but never heard from them again. Didn't want the cleaning, touching my stuff or anything. I find thee stuff on Youtube videos to be a bit overrated, Towel animals on the toilet, reorganizing your things, and other little things they may do. Just stay out of my way lol.
I would not be surprised if they need to come in at least once a day for a security check. In our 15 DCL cruises I have never found towel animals in the bathroom (maybe just our experience). They have always been in the main cabin.I have done it, never said anything to the room host. He did keep asking if I needed anything witch I found annoying. Are you doing this as a way to save paying gratuity? Are you able to not have the turn down service in the morning or evening? I just plan on having my sign up the entire cruise.
I don’t know. I think you are giving people a lot of creditHmm. Not sure people who spend a few thousand dollars on a cruise are going to collect bowls of half eaten mac & cheese in their cabin.
I was on the Fantasy in Nov. Someone left a dinner plate with shrimp tails and I think jambalaya because there was rice outside my cabin door. I thought it might have been from my cruise partner. So I left it outside the door. When I got inside, I asked my friend that I was sailing with if she got room service. No she responded. I was like there is a plate outside the door. Someone then kicked the plate over in the hall so there was rice everywhere. I picked up the plate and tails brought it inside and we called guest service. Eventually someone came and got the dish and eventually someone else came and cleaned up the hallway.Honestly, I feel that they should at least go into each room daily to make sure there aren't food dishes in the room. That would attract bugs and I don't want to be on the other side of a cabin that leaves food around. It doesn't have to be room service but taking dishes back to your cabin from Cabanas or the quick serve food places. I guess I've watched too many hoarding shows!
We found some chicken tenders on the stairs. We saw the same ones multiple times. We finally saw a CM to tell. Someone had left a plate of fries and ketchup out. Someone before me had knocked the plate over. I didn’t see the ketchup and had unfortunately stepped in itI was on the Fantasy in Nov. Exactly the reason that people are asked to call room service to come pick up the plates from INSIDE the room.We found some chicken tenders on the stairs. We saw the same ones multiple times. DURING the cruise. But I'd imagine that means more work for that cabin on turn-around day since there hasn't been daily cleaning going on. Yes, obviously there's a deeper clean between guests - BUT if a cabin hasn't been vacuumed or dusted all the previous cruise it's going to have to be even more thorough. And that could mean unfair work for someone who wasn't even responsible for that cabin the previous cruise if they are changing areas.less work for him or her
Then when you call they say leave it in the hall..... I've had that happen on numerous occasions across multiple cruise lines including DCL.Exactly the reason that people are asked to call room service to come pick up the plates from INSIDE the room.
