Early last month, my 1st Sams DGC purchase through Rakuten credited for 10%, so I did 10 times the amount. That didn't track, and after about 4 weeks, the first purchase was clawed back. I'm still fighting with them.

Don't fight them unless GCs were included in the CB offer, but that's not normally the case. It won't change anything for you and you risk drawing attention to the loophole and affecting others.

So much this...always remember GCs with Rakuten that proc are a GLITCH, or happy little accident, not a "supposed to" result.

You should be keeping a spreadsheet of all gift card purchase details so nothing slips through the cracks as well as all receipts (if anything like fraud happens to your DGC, Disney has in the past demanded to see receipts for all funds loaded and if you can't produce them it gets to be a long, drawn out mess).

You can put it on your apple wallet. BUT you have to do a workaround. If you have a physical gift card, you put that into your apple wallet. You then use the disney gift card portal and transfer the e-gift card onto the physical. It works well. I used it last trip this way.

My Rakuten didn't track at all (I know GCs don't always get GC but they were specifically listed at 1% on Rakuten). I was obviously hoping for 12 like others but I'm mad I got nothing, especially when I used it on the $500 ones so now I can't buy those high value ones later (I have DVC dues to pay)

Wanted to say thank you to everyone for all of your help posting - just renewed our Annual Passes and while we didn't save a ton - we did save more than the usual 5% we get when just going via Target.

Got $1000 from Target over the past few months for $950 plus spaced it out over a couple different circle offers and got back $60 in rewards = $890 plus a $500 gift card for $484 from Sam's Club and got 10% back via a Chase Offer (max of $24) plus 1% back on Rakuten (sadly did not code for the 12%) for $4.85 back.

All in all - $1500 in gift cards for about $1345 - more than enough to cover the AP renewal and some shopping/food on our upcoming visit.

So this would be the time to use the Discover target 5% wouldn't it. So that would be 10% off Target gift cards and 5% back on Discover netting...I can't do the math right now but a little less than 15%?
