When we are discussing "cash reservation" relating to MM, are we talking about just any Disney resort reservation?

I have a DVC (points) reservation for the August AKMM date but kind of want those points for something else now. If I cancel and book a moderate with my Disney Visa discount, that still qualifies me, correct? Obviously it would all be done before the registration even opens.

I'm no expert, but I qualified for May 11 MM with a Fort Wilderness Cabins reservation.

Yes. We mostly register with cash reservations and registered the May 11 DHS event @ CSR.

Obviously it would all be done before the registration even opens.

You have 3 days *prior* to registration to finalize all Resort modifications, party size, etc. Any changes after will not coincide with the event.

We have a party of 5 adults, a newly 3 year old, and a 6 month old. We are in 2 rooms so I could only register the max of 5. We're hoping they let us all stay, if not, some of us will go back to the room with the kids.

Also none of us actually have tickets at the moment as we're waiting for APs.

If both rooms were in your membership, then you should have been able to get them for everyone..but if the second room was booked in a different way, then that makes sense.

Yes, cash reservations at WDW booked by the member are eligible for the early registration to the event.

Yeah, the other was booked by my brother in law.

People who went last year to the DHS events, how were lines all night? I bet it won't be possible to cycle RoR in walk on. But were Slinky and MRT doable?
During the first ever MM event at DHS (the only one I went to), before opening of Galaxy Edge, ToT was a walk on, but as much as I love it, after doing it 6 times in a row I was ready for something else

We did July MM at HS last summer. We saved RotR until the very end because it was the only one with any kind of significant wait. I figured they would let everyone in line go even if it was after the event ended (which they did).

What time did Animal Kingdom moonlight magic begin and end last year? With it closing earlier than the other parks I wasn't sure what it's hours would be and we are trying to come up with a plan for July 11th this year.

The MM events typically start 30 minutes to 1 hour after official park closing and usually run for 3 hours. Early entry using just the event issued wristband is typically 2 hours prior to park closing. Final details will be emailed to those registered for the event about a week prior to the event night.

Was hoping it would start around 9 pm like the others to get more time there at night. I'm assuming it may start at 8 pm. Wondering if anyone knows what the hours were last year in 2022

It depends on the date. For July 26, 2022, the hours were 9 PM to midnight and you could enter as early as 7 PM if you weren't using admission that day.

Sadly, ours was cancelled due to the hurricane. The one park we haven’t done a MM in, yet!

The link… even if you receive it in an email… is not unique but a general link to the registration portal. Check here on the DIS and I’m sure someone will post it.

Have owned for decades and I often don’t receive these types of emails. I’ve given up trying to figure out why. LOL In this case, it doesn’t matter, though, so it’s one less thing to worry about.
