Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Getting Excited! One week today I'll be checking in to WL Old Faithful Club! Just got an email from them! I also had received a phone call one day after I booked a few months back!
Do you mind to ask when you are at WL if you can add on CL access from a regular room? We love WL CL but I hate those dormer balconies and loved the add on option pre-covid.

A few more notes on our sadly now-defunct AKL CL stay.

-The management has been shuffled and they now have three Club Leaders- Chris, Clay, and Glenn. These superstars are absolutely phenomenal and the whole “vibe” of the lounge has somehow become better for it. The staff (and guests) LOVE them. Fun fact, Glenn was previously one of the Concierge hosts on the Disney Wish, so it was a bit of a crazy moment to see him up on the 6th floor working now at AKL! He is as lovely as ever.

-Francisco still makes the best drinks 😆

-They’ve introduced some new foods at dinner like a rice pilaf thing, and no longer have bacon at breakfast every day- it seems to alternate with sausages and some sort of biscuits and gravy dish in that spot.

-Despite being told that chicken nuggets would be in the rotation for kid-friendly foods at dinner going forward, I only saw meatballs, Uncrustables and corn dogs during our stay, but YMMV :).

And of course- I believe still the only CL that has escaped the clutches of the coddled eggs 🥚

ETA: These are the changes I noted since our last stay there in December.

Kids that are not watched 👀, frustrating!

I don’t think dd is going to request her king for Honeymoon, She has had both and you get either 2 sinks or 2 showers, both are good options👍

I dont have any cl booked the rest of the year! I’ll be counting on y’all’s pix!
Oh, the kid was watched. That’s why I got judgy!!

No CL booked - heresy. I feel confident this decision will not stand!

Thanks for the info. 😃

Found a GF RPC rate for under $1K a night for Memorial Day, we would be crazy not to keep it, right??

If you’ve stayed at RPC lately, can you let me know how it is? Also, I’ve seen trip videos from the last month or so showing afternoon tea has returned, is anyone who has been there in the last few weeks able to confirm? Would also love pics of recent offerings if anyone has them!

Does Poly Hawaii have a restroom in the CL lounge or building? Just wondering for those mad dashes to the parks after breakfast. Trying not to go back to the room in case a stop is needed. 😊

There is some concern further upthread about timing of the lounge closure and other Main Building renovations. There are reports it will be starting this month with closure of the lounge around 5/29.

We booked 5/26-5/29, so I’m wondering if they plan to close it immediately after the Memorial Day holiday?

We are booked 5/25-5/30. We were there a few weeks ago in the beginning of April. Prior to that there was no availability past 5/19 ish I believe and then all the sudden right before we went in April, Memorial Day weekend had availability. We booked and I kept checking to make sure there were still rooms available for the main building, which there were up until this past Saturday. On Saturday all the inventory was gone for Memorial Day weekend so I figured the completion of Sugar Loaf meant things had changed. Came on here and got some info which was very helpful. Called DSS yesterday just to check one last time if they had any updated info and the woman I spoke with was kind enough to call the Grand Floridian and the CM they spoke to said they believed 5/31 would be the last day. Then I noticed later in the day the rooms became available again so I am cautiously optimistic that we should be good but you never know.
As for how it was when we went in April my DH, DD and I all agreed it felt very very close to club level pre-covid. They didn't have "afternoon tea" as I remember it pre-covid with the tarts and banana bread etc. but they did have lunch meats out with small rolls and condiments to make your own sandwiches (which my husband was thrilled with) as well as soup, crudite, house made chips, dips and assortment of teas. Breakfast always had ample offerings and we only ate dinner at club 1 evening that trip which also had good offerings.
In general it was just a lovely trip and we are just so eagerly awaiting this next one and keeping our fingers and toes crossed that nothing changes!

Hmmm. Just saw a video of a recent club level stay at the poly king kamehameha comparing it to the Grands. Looks like the food is sub par but the views are gorgeous

CL Friends—I have a TPV room at CR for early summer with a great discount (by disney standards). Have an opportunity to switch to CR CL. Obviously more money, but still a good discount. Recent CR CL visitors—talk to me into this. It would mean cancelling a Chef Mickey breakfast and maybe give up one or two table service dinners. CL TPV is about $50 more than LV. How crowded is the lounge at firework time? Is the TPV hallway noisy with people going back & forth to the lounge?

I hate to say this, but one of my most favorite Disney experiences has been taking my CL desserts and drinks to our TPV balcony room, turning up the TV volume to full blast, and peacefully sitting outside and watching the show from the comfort of our room and feeling like the fireworks were just for us.

I would choose that splurge over any other meal or experience.
