Ignore button

Yes, funny thing is even if the OP removes their original question, it can still be viewed in posts where it was quoted. In that particular thread, I believe the OP was looking for people to support their initial view and when that didn't happen things started to go off the rails. Have seen many threads like that where someone asks for our opinion about something and then gets all flustered when the opinions aren't what the OP was expecting.

Still not sure which section this refers to. Is this somewhere on DIS? I don't recall ever seeing any section that is overrun by one poster, so was curious which area you are referring to?
Sorry, I should have been clearer. I am referring to Touring Plans. They also have a board/forum and a lines app.

When you put someone on ignore, there are less threads per page.
Result: there are now only 3 threads left on my page 2.... So...

This was what I saw on Friday too, I think? I used the ignore button just to see how much could be freed up on the main page.

I agree with the potential for this poster to be mining for data. I usually don't answer them seriously anyhow, because the questions are often boring, and I'm not about to give away personal info. Possible that the more innocent questions are used as padding to make people perceive less threat from the real ones.

If there's no malicious intent anywhere, then it's just a person who loves soda and magazines and prefers limited communication. However, they've also told multiple different stories about themselves what they does for a living. By Spin's own responses ("Myself, I'm..."), they've even been a doctor who's skilled in parkour, so Spinneret could just run and jump into your window to help deliver that baby.

Well I saw this poster on the How far away did you go for college thread and they said 30 miles. However they said in their April 3 thread that they did not go to college? I have asked for clarification but no response so far.
I never answer these posts as I feel they are mining for information as well as their general copious amounts of questions.

On another non-Disney forum I use, the 'edit' button only remains active for a few minutes after you post so that prevents someone from significantly changing their remarks after others have commented. That applies to everyone posting not just the original question. Perhaps this site should work the same way?

I love the threads like “Has anybody been to Disney Springs during Spring Break?”

I try, sometimes unsuccessfully, to control myself.

My tolerance for Baloney Sandwiches has decreased with age. I went years without blocking anyone but now have more than a few on my list. I have no problem with opposing thoughts but became weary of badgering posts…not just towards me. If I want to see ignored comments there is a view button.

I do not care for that feature. Sometimes...mostly I'm in a hurry and do not proofread my posts. I don't alter the jest of my reply but maybe correct an autocorrection or make a sentence coherent.

Sometimes I’m scrolling through and accidentally click on a person instead of a thread and then while trying to get rid of the pop up I accidentally follow or ignore them. Every once in a while I have to check to make sure I’m haven’t ignored or followed people without realizing it. Am I the only one with such clumsy thumbs?

I believe the "last edited" message doesn't appear on edited posts until a certain amount of time. Maybe until someone else reads it? Or x number of minutes? I know I've edited posts rather quickly after finding errors or wanting to clarify, and I don't see the message after I save the edit.
