Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend 2023 (Nov. 2-5, 2023)

I need a Winnie the Pooh W&D themed weekend and I need it now!!!

Pooh is like the ultimate Disney diner, anyway lol.

Oh my word if Pooh shows up on any weekend then I done. Take all my money He’s my MOST fave of all time!

I dream of Pooh for Springtime Surprise. All of the characters could host a race!

The challenge could be the Honey Pot Challenge with a honey pot medal. Tigger 5K, Eeyore 10K, and Pooh half. The kids races could be Piglet-themed. I can only dream!

Joining the "give rD everything if this happens" club (despite my "no more rD after PW23" resolve). I'd even steal a child to do the kids one (Kanga + Roo would also be an apropos theme for that).

Lol. This still makes me chuckle! Or maybe grimace! I still remember nearly going mad as runner on every approach/passing by the parking booths with the every-30-second warning to be careful of the medians!

Based upon when they announced the themes/prices last year, I am guessing that they will announce the 2023 W&D theme on the following Tuesday, 3/14.

That's apparently what happened last year as well. Club runDisney registration was on 3/15/2022 and they announced the themes (on Instagram at least) on 3/15/2022.

Do we know the range for proof of time for the event? I haven’t raced in the past year due to being pregnant last year but I would still love to start in a good corral. My last races were in the Dopey Challenge in 2022.

Officially no. Per Disneyland registration it would be expected that the POT window will be January 2021 and after.

Fantastic!! Even better! My half marathon PR is from Nov 2021 so I should be good if that’s the case. I was able to snag an elite bib for the Dopey - I will be happy to just get in A corral again. Thanks!

Also, I love her, and it fits the Wine and Dine theme, but is it odd that Belle is the theme for another 10k?

This is a bit of a pickle: NOT a fan of the 10K theme and I rarely care much about medals at all, but yeah - I want that Figment one, so I guess I’ll have to suck it up and “endure” the 10K theme. I do, however, very much love the 5K theme, and was not planning to run that one… GAH! That’s a mighty big chunk of cheddar for 3 races.

Yes, yes it is. I mean, technically, it‘s the enchanted dining characters as the theme, not Belle, but still… a gazillion movies out there and they opt to use the same one they just used?

Ugh, the Figment theme is going to make the two-course challenge impossible to get into. I love the theme but was hoping for something that wouldn't cause people to mob on registration day.
