2 Factor Authentication

grrr...it is sending the authentication code to a deactivated email.....why isn't it using the same email as it sends my reservations to?

Assuming you already had the correct email in your DVC Profile, have you tried updating your profile in My Disney Experience ? Do that via the website. (So far, I am not being asked to do 2FA for MDE). If that doesn't work, you will probably have to call MS.

OneID account and DVC email are not the same thing. If you go into DVC > Profile > Contact Information, there is an 'Email' field there which is where your reservation emails go. THIS IS NOT THE SAME as your global "Disney OneID" account/email. SIGN IN uses OneID, not the email address you have on your DVC Profile 'Contact Information' details (though many people may have the same email address specified on the DVC Profile Contact Information page as they are using on the Disney OneID 'Account' portal).

The same goes for the Phone Number you have specified on your Disney OneID account versus the phone number you provide on the DVC profile under Profile > Contact Information. They could be different, but OneID 'Sign In' only uses the phone number on the OneID account itself.

The email you have for your Disney OneID account may not be the same email you have specified on the DVC member web site 'Profile > Contact Information' page where your reservation emails get sent to.

On the phone with DVC technical right now and found that out. Sadly they need to send me to another support line which has a very long wait because of new 2 factor authenticaion causing problems.
 
Disney OneID is down and not accepting changes, wow, heads should roll with this poor implementation of 2FA
 
OK - just talked with MS & you need to go into MDE to verify your cell # there as well. Once I did that, it now gives me the option to choose b/w cell & email. So bottom line, check your cell # on MDE

I will have to do this. I did not get a choice this morning. Thank you.
 
I had to wait 45 seconds for the text with the code, it cost me a christmas day room at BRV.

FIX THE WEBSITE BILL
 
The second Disney does something that banks, credit card companies, payroll providers, the IRs, and many insurers require for website login, it's all of a sudden a bad thing and "typical" Disney...
I know. The nerve of them! 😄 Actually, I've been getting the 2 step verification for a while now. I just wish I could change it to go to my phone instead of email.
