Thank you! I got spoiled with my last trip in first class!

Aeroplan was able to drop the JFK leg this morning. But they don't have any flights from Toronto --> BOS on the 21st that will work with my Lufthansa flight. So I'm looking at flying Porter super early (I do not want to miss that Lufthansa flight) and enjoying some time in the Lufthansa lounge. Wohoo!

I have to spend a night in Munich before flying onwards to Budapest, so I will most likely take the train /bus to Dachau after landing and dropping off my luggage.
Dachau was the most impactful place I've ever visited. I think my entire family was changed because we went there.

Just booked the final Japan hotel, the last one was Univeral's Park Front Hotel which just opened up for June reservations. Next on the list is buying USJ park tickets but not for a few months, then figuring out Disney Park tickets.
I'm also waiting for JAL and AA to mess with flights, because I know it's coming and our perfect hotel reservations will be no more.

I usually buy the exact same Visa debit card as its works at the grocery store by my house to purchase money orders. However it hasn't worked for me at the Post Office or Walmart. Does anyone know of a prepaid debit card that will work to purchase money orders at the Post Office or Walmart? Or will their systems recognize any prepaid debit card and decline the transaction?

Is anyone aware of any current Delta Gift Card deals, beyond using Chase Ink at office depot/max?

I thawed the wrong credit report, now I have to call Chase. ugh. I thought I was being good remembering, but I did the wrong credit bureau
Second fail of the day, the Ink support links finally updated to the new offer 90K for $6K MSR. Anyway to cancel the current application (since they didn't do a hard pull)?
I wish I could cancel my application from this morning.

I wonder how long this will last? We still have a month left to finish p2 current CIC spend, so I need to wait a few more weeks.

Post Office is hard coded not to accept any prepaids - has been that way for a few years now.

As for Walmart, I understand it is very YMMV and dependant on the Walmart. You may have to go multiple times and if you are lucky you get someone who will allow it as officially they are supposed to check and only allow if your name is on the card.

We had a really positive experience with our Turo rental in August. We were met at the airport so no going out of the way, and we were driving off within 2 minutes of meeting the cars owner. Everything is basically done in app, so it did not take nearly as long as you’d be waiting at an Enterprise counter for example. We did get the cheapest insurance option for peace of mind, but had no issues whatsoever. When our flight was delayed by two hours on our departure, the owner had no problem accommodating an extension for no extra charge. Will definitely use Turo again, and it was half the cost. It’s basically the Airbnb equivalent for car rentals.

I guess I was just the bad luck person, but the one time I used Turo the car broke down in a very rural area. Luckily, the host drove down to get me and the car and I had enough time to make my flight.

The issue I'm having with Walmart is the card is declined when I swipe it and enter the PIN. I've never had an employee there say anything. I thought maybe a different one would work as the cards I get from Office Depot don't work at the grocery store I normal go to but the card I normally buy does work there.

Ugh I'm so irritated at AA. I know flights change but I had found a non stop from Costa Rica to Chicago for our spring break trip. They changed it from 2 pm depart/8 pm arrival to 330 depart/1 am arrival with a layover at DFW. I really don't want to catch an Uber/Lyft at 2 am at ORD. Really considering changing the DFW to ORD portion to the next day and staying at the Hyatt in DFW.
Suggestions or opinions?

It depends on how much you want to get home to your own bed. I always sleep better in my own bed, but I understand not wanting to take a taxi at that time of the morning. Can you park your car at the airport and drive home? What is the earliest flight you can take home the next day?

There are very early flights, like 6 or 8 am but I'd be ok with 9 or 10 am. A 2 am Uber at O'Hare does not feel reliable to me. The flights home are on Saturday, so we don't have to be at work the next day or anything.
Problem is flights to CR are awful this year and $$$. I have booked flights to CR on SW from MDW and flights home on AA to ORD so we can't take our car either way. It would be a different airport.
ETA on closer inspection, all our seats are separate on the new flights and while I can be separate from DH, I'm not thrilled with DS in a middle seat with 2 strangers for 5 hours. I may just forget AA and pay the 53k pp on SW (omg 106k pp RT for SW 😳)

During our recent Europe trip I made an effort to visit as many Priority Pass lounges/restaurants as we could. I brought my sister along as a guest each time; my husband and daughter also had memberships. Here's a quick run-down of those experiences.

St. Louis--Wingtips in Terminal 2. We arrived at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday and they told us they were closing at 1 p.m. We quickly grabbed small salads and sandwiches plus packaged granola bars. It was a small, tight lounge.
We could have also eaten at The Pasta House but didn't want something that heavy.

Boston--Stephanie's Restaurant. Got seated right away and had good service. Our PP allowed $28 per person paid was enough that we could each order a decent entree. We all had the burgers and they were very good. I'd eat there again.
We then went to the Air France lounge and though it was crowded, it wasn't full and we found seats to relax. I appreciated the phone charging tower as my old iPhone was burning its battery fast. We enjoyed dessert and a drink before our overnight flight.

London Luton Airport--Aspire Lounge. There was a sign denying any new entries. From the main concourse we could see into the lounge and that there were open seats. If we had more time I might have pushed it but because of a very long check-in line we didn't have much time for a lounge anyway.

Naples, Italy--Pearl Lounge. Arrived early morning and enjoyed comfy couches. The food was behind a rope so you had to have a worker fill your plate. It was kind of awkward. I wasn't sure if it was because they had just mopped the floor or if it was always that way. The food was not good. We left and went to the delicious bakery next door.

London Heathrow--Terminal Five--Club Aspire Lounge. When we arrived they told us we could enter but would probably have to share a table with strangers. That ended up being true but a nice woman who was alone, volunteered to move to a nearby table with another lone woman so my husband and I could sit together. The lounge is a J shape and it was very crowded. (There was a man sleeping on a full sofa occupying space that 3-4 people could have used.) The food buffet is in a narrow spot and makes it hard to access; also there is no clear direction so people come from both ways. The food was okay and the coffee was good. You have to exit the lounge to go to the bathroom.

The PP app says there is The Globe Pub & Kitchen in Terminal Five but it's not there. The info desk said it was in another terminal so we did not get to try that.

Philadelphia--Terminal C--They only have a spa which we probably would not have used, but we'll never know as our flight was too late to even think about relaxing as we tried to make the connecting flight.

I applied on 11/2 for a CIC and got the “we need to review” message. Still haven’t heard anything more. What’s the typical wait time these days. (I used to always get instant approval - I miss those days.)

I feel you on this. I still don't have flights home yet bc they are so expensive. I'm still holding out hope that the SW flight prices will drop and because we have companion pass. It's the whole reason we booked Costa Rica specifically because I have a goal to make good use of our two CPs. I recently considered booking United- I think there were good nonstop options to LIR-ORD for 40k.

Are you willing to give up a day or stay a day longer if AA could move you to a nonstop flight on another day?

Chase Southwest support links are updated to show the 75kRR SUB for $3,000 MSR in 3 months. I believe someone else mentioned the Inks are also showing the 90kUR SUBS for $6,000 MSR in 3 months.

Please consider using a support link over at DISchurners to support this great community who provides invaluable knowledge. I'm incredibly grateful for the tidbits I learn each day. Thanks y'all.
