Indiana Jones refurb (update 11/14-11/16)

Noooo! Ugh. Sad to hear that. Bad timing for me

I noticed this too, we arrive on the 14th... sigh.
I didn't get to ride it last trip which was in 2019 because it broke down twice while I was in line.
Guess I need to wait another year again :(

disappointed, that's the day we arrive for my first and probably only trip

I wonder how long it will last. We're going end of December and I hope it'll be open by then, but don't want to get my hopes up.

do they ever close early? We arrive in the area the afternoon before and if it meant an opportunity to see Fantasmic and ride indiana jones I would think about adding a day to my ticket. Think about.

If I remember correctly, wasn't there supposed to be an extensive refurb in 2020 that never happened after the parks shut down? Maybe this is it?

What a bummer, this is one of my daughters favorite rides. Not a bummer for me though because I really don't like it. It definitely needs a refurb bad.

I noticed this yesterday. We land at LAX at 9 a.m. on the 13th. If we get scanned into the park by maybe 11:30, do we even have a shot at a lightning lane?

My husband has got 1 "thrill" (very loosely using the word "thrill") ride in him at most per trip, & this is what he wanted to ride.

Needs it, but will work good for about a month before the effects start going down again.

For anyone who's ridden it before - your memory is better than the state it's in now.

I mean, the boulder doesn't work. A bunch of the effects don't work. Yeah, you bounce around, and the skull is cool. But it's currently equivalent to how Splash Mountain looks right before a rehab.

I don't know that I've seen them start a refurb on a weekend. (I think the more likely disaster if it just happened to break down on Sunday.)

On a Sunday - you're probably fine if you get there by 11:30am. (I'm pretty sure I've gotten them in the afternoon on Sundays.) If not, keep poking at it throughout the day - they'll sometimes open more LLs.

On one hand, I hope so. On the other hand, I would probably gamble that it'll be a quickie thing to address some specific issues with the hopes of getting it open again before Thanksgiving. (They did a four-day refurb in March.)

Does the boulder really not work? I know the snake wasn't working when I was there in April but the boulder....not the boulder.

When I went in September, the boulder didn't move. As I had only been in the ride once 14 years before that, I thought last month it was my imagination thinking that it did move before :).

I not only think this ride needs a refurb... I think it's due to get plussed again. They did a nice job with projection effects on Mara several years back. I feel they could do some things to make this ride even better.... a new snake that looks more like a REAL snake? Putting some native figures in the dart room instead of those painted figures on the wall? I really feal like they went cheap on that room. Could they restore some of the effects that have not worked in ages? I read somewhere about the computer system being so old on this ride and that causes a lot of the issues and that really needs to be updated.
