***Official November 2022 Thread***

Have just decided to hop on Disboards in anticipation of our upcoming November 15-20th trip, staying at CCV for the first time!! We’ve never been to WL but have always wanted to! This thread has me so excited/anxious for my ADR day coming up on Friday!! Have my alarm set for 5:35 to get online! Do reservations open up at 5:45 or 6:00?

So we’re leaving for Disney on November 4th. We’re staying off site and getting reservations has been a hassle to say the least, especially with a group of 9. We’ve had to change around plans and wound up adding an additional park day to account for better reservations. Ideally we wanted to do hoop Dee do but it may not happen. We were able to grab a cat 1 for 5 people at 4 on 11/11 and a cat 2 at 8 pm for 6 people on 11/13 but that leaves 3-4 people out. Hoping to schedule a second table for either day/time/ category and then we’d be able to drop the other day. Ultimately though we might have to just forgo hoop Dee doo. Here’s what we have planned so far
11/4 travel day (we’re driving)
11/5 travel day continued
11/6 magic kingdom (brother flies in late this day)
11/7 Hollywood studios- early reservations for droid depot for 4 builders
11/8 water parks/rest
11/9 universal
11/10 animal kingdom
11/11 water parks/ rest possible hoop Dee doo
11/12 Hollywood studios mid day reservations for savis and ogas and possibly additional droid builds
11/13 Epcot and possible late hoop Dee doo
11/14 magic kingdom to close out our trip
11/15 travel day stopping at st augustine
11/16 travel day continued

I ordered magic bands from Shopdisney which shipped after 7 days so we’ll be set with those. I might make backpacks for our droid friends instead of buying the astromec backpacks but idk.

Well I was able to get Cat 1! But now I'm wondering if we'd be better off with the 4 or 6pm show 🤔 That's our last day, leaving Saturday, and we are doing our last MK day then. It's a party day, so I figured we'd leave around four and head to the fort, but now I'm wondering if that's too late for my kids to maintain their cool at the end of a long trip 😂
How early are you starting? How old are the kids? If Mk does 730 opening are you attempting that? We did the 4pm show and loved it, you probably can stay at MK till 3, the boat from MK goes right to pioneer hall, no need to catch a 4pm boat for the 6 show.

I don’t know for sure how crowds will be for the holiday party, but for Halloween we did a ton of rides and some shows 10-4. I posted about everything we did on our Mk party day in this thread 2nd to last post i think https://www.disboards.com/threads/live-trip-report-8-20-8-27-ask-any-questions.3894091/

If that’s helpful at all,

Yes thank you! That's exactly what I'm planning on, a low crowd party day, especially a Friday. This will even be our second day at MK, with the first also being a party day. Kids are 4, 4, 8, 10, so pretty unstable 😂 I think you've convinced me to do the 4pm. Gives us time for a stroll after to relax a bit before bed, and to pack before we leave the next day. Thank you so much!

I think it will be amazing! We will be at MK part of that day too!

Our last full day is 11/11 which is a party day. We ALWAYS do MK on our last night but we don't want to purchase party tickets. We instead have plans to do Epcot then MK and CG for dinner during MVMCP fireworks. I'm now debating on switching us to MK the entire day. Especially with the lower crowds that are expected on a party day.

Well a table of 3 popped up for hoop Dee doo. I grabbed it but 3 of our party of 9 will be in category 1 while 6 will be in category 2. This is 11/13 which is also our day at Epcot and my family are concerned that it’s to much to do in one day. So I guess we’re hoping a 4 pm table for 4 will drop for 11/11. It’s difficult to get adr for such a large group *sigh*

So if my trip starts on November 19, am I able to book my whole week of dining on September 19, or do I have to wait until the last day of my vacation to book the entire week? Hope this makes sense!

You will be able to book dining for your entire stay beginning on Nov 19 as long as you are staying at one resort. If you have a split stay, then you would have to wait until 60 days before the beginning of the second resort stay before you could book those dates. :)

October is a 31 day month, so 9/20 is your 60 days, not the 19th.

If you're staying onsite, you can book on that day for the length of your hotel stay or up to 10 additional days, whichever is shorter. If you have multiple hotel stays, each one has it's own 60 day window.

If you're off-site, you have to go on each morning that is 60 days prior to each day

I am so confused on what time to get on line to make ADR. I have seen midnight and also 6:00 am. What time would I get on to make ADR's for November 16th?
Really hoping that the Dessert Party is announced soon. Thank you

Midnight is only for certain extras like behind the scenes tours. Dining windows open at 6am eastern, although sometimes people have luck starting at 5:45.

For an 11/16 check in date, you should be online at 9/17 at about 5:45am refreshing just in case things open up, but expecting that you'll be able to really start moving at 6am.

Thank you so much for explaining. Our actual check in date is November 15th but I wanted the reservation for November 16th so hopefully tomorrow I can try for it. Thanks

I just spent the morning changing all of my November plans. Why do I do this to myself!!! 🤣 but now I’m out of luck on a meal but fingers crossed an alert or stalking comes through!

I missed an alert yesterday for Space 200 Lounge! I was sitting with my phone in a calm situation too! My son thought I was nutso when the alert came through b/c I was so excited.....then so bummed!

Ugh happened to me so many times last trip, but I ended up getting everything I wanted, so I’m hopeful even with this change I’ll be able to get it all!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻I hope you do too!!!

I did switch a few things out but I think we are pretty set on our plans. We have G+ purchased for each day of our trip and did mostly lunch ADRs since I hope to stack and don't want dinner ADRs to interfere with my selections. We also like to do a PM park after a midday break and I feel that doing a dinner ADR once arriving to a park at 5 pm for a 9 pm close just eats up too much time for us. Plus lunch is cheaper and we like midday breaks so it works for us! There are also lots of snacks and some QS spots we want to try so we plan on having a big breakfast or lunch and then snacking or sharing QS meals the rest of the day.

I couldn't get Topolino's breakfast the day we wanted it so I made it for our last day (departure day) which actually works out better since we can take the Skyliner straight to DHS after. I then moved GFC breakfast to the day we originally wanted Topolino's but have now changed GFC to Boma breakfast since we go to AK after breakfast.

I also changed our last full day to just MK instead of RD Epcot and hopping to MK. It's a party night so hoping for lower crowds.

11/3 - Fly in, land around 9 pm, maybe Three Bridges for dinner if we are up to it

11/4 – RD MK all day (will take midday pool break) - Steakhouse 71 12 pm, MK Dessert party

11/5 – RD Epcot, midday pool break, DHS - lunch at San Angel Inn 11:50 am, Oga’s 7:05 pm

11/6 – Sleep in, AK and may hop to Epcot once AK closes - Boma 10:35 am

11/7 – Sleep in, maybe some morning pool time, Disney Springs and then MK – Homecomin’ 12:30

11/8 – RD AK, midday pool break, DHS - Sanaa 12:30 pm, maybe HBD lounge for dinner

11/9 – Sleep in, maybe some morning pool time, hit Epcot around 12ish and stay until close – F&W booths all day (I am debating on making an ADR instead. I want to try the food booths but I think standing in line for bites of food will get old fast. Plus it really costs tons of money to get full. I would like VN but it’s booked up already)

11/10 – 4 parks one day – RD DHS/MK/AK/Epcot – Sci Fi 12:00 pm (We chose this order since we haven’t RD DHS yet and we like to RD each park once. We would usually close out with MK but it’s a party night. We love AK at night so wanted to stop there after sunset. And Epcot is closed the latest so it’s last. It may not be the most efficient transportation wise but we will use the transportation as a break)

11/11 – MK all day (probably won’t hit RD but will arrive before 10 am) – Cali Grill 9:15 pm to watch MVMCP fireworks

11/12 – Departure day – Sleep in a bit – Topolino’s 11 am – DHS until we leave the park around 7 pm for our 10:30 pm flight

Anyone very well versed with Friends and Family connections on MDE? We are meeting up with two other families for one park evening/dinner. So we are now connected on MDE and I added them to that one dining reservation. But, now on my MDE, I see everything they are doing - their hotels, tickets, dining, etc. I have the toggle on my profile to only show Plans Shared. Why do I see it all? Thanks!

Edit to make clearer: You can go to MDE and click on the pull down tab to the right, then on My Friends and Family. Then click on the names you want to alter. It defaults to sharing all plans but you can change it to just shared plans.

Also, I'm looking at this from my laptop. If the app is weird and you have to use your phone, try logging in from an internet browser.
