Boardwalk pizza- price increase and no large pizza (on menu as option) anymore…

Have been here for 2 weeks- ordered a large pizza last week for appx $24.

Just tried to order a large pizza again- was told it’s $8.50/slice and must order 4 slices to get a large pizza (so now $34/pizza).

However, no large pizza on menu advertised, only per slice…. At $8.50/slice.

Just an fyi. Manager confirmed they changed their menu and prices in the last week.

nothing updated yet. Wait for the backlash on the interwebs if they eventually post the new menu

I don't know if you're from a place that has at least decent pizza, but Flippers was far and away the #1 recommended pizza place to try down there and it was...not "bad" per se, but definitely something I ate one slice of and am set for a few lifetimes. It'd be like if someone from another country came to visit the US and asked for some good Italian and you recommended Olive Garden.

Having said that, I do love pizza and have found Flippers thin crust quite tolerable… throw some pepperoni, onions and mushrooms on it and I’m happy.

The guy at the window claimed they got rid of the whole pie option at $22 bc of “demand” - and not bc of profit… made no sense. $8.50/slice is just ridiculous.

Of course it makes sense. There was a demand for pizza, so Disney figured out how to charge more for it. Selling a whole pizza let a guest pay less per slice. Under the Cheapak regime, Disney has been focused on ways to make more money per guest.
