The big G+ rides at HS gone by 1:07!

Reminds of Epcot with the tiers during FP+. You would get 1-2 good rides then throwaway FP.

I think folks tend to forget about the tiering restrictions of FP+, don't they?

I think G+ is intended to give you what FP+ did. Not more. Even though you are now paying.

I am honestly going to go into my trip treating G+ like a paid FP+. If I get 2-3 decent rides (depending on the park) then I’m good. We never used more than our 3 FP+ anyway.

It’s true there were tiers- but I never had trouble with re-rides and getting other Tier 1s later on. I guess because of more capacity.

for me, it really comes down to threshold. I want at least 4 good rides with my G plus, and I’m willing to wait in an hour line for 1-2 rides.

but I’m not happy with 2-3 big rides with genie plus and waiting in 60+ minute waits for everything else. Because we know some of those are well past 60+.

it’s not a good system.

Refreshing, I see availability:

MFSR at 5:50

Again MFSR at 7:50 (a min later)

Now MFSR 7:55 (2 mins later)

I would think you would be able to grab one

Both FP+ and G+ are affected by crowd load, but I think G+ is more sensitive to it. This is especially true for friends of the FP monster as booking FP+ at 60 days largely insulated one from the effect of large crowds, but the effect was undoubtedly there.

i know people long for the days of FP+, but given what I saw at rope drop, the ‘secret’ is out. I bet FP+ booking at 60 days would be just as much a mess as G+ is now.

bottom line is HS needs more things to do. That is the essential problem and neither FP or G+ can fix that when the crowds are this big. Disney should cut admission capacity, but they won’t. Or maybe they did and that’s why we’re seeing March book up. Here’s to hoping.

The biggest fault with G+ that we see (besides the obvious fact we'd prefer to not pay extra for it) is that the top 8 attractions among the theme parks are excluded (and I know there are times they knock that down to 4 exclusions). It's a change that makes G+ way less effective than FP+ or MaxPass from the recent past. FP, FP+, and MaxPass all had their pros and cons, as does G+. We thought G+ would be more like MaxPass, which we found to be the best of the 'fast pass' type options. But removing so many attractions dilutes the value in so many ways.

I guess if there was a perfect solution that everyone liked, they'd have it by now. But that doesn't exist.

I’m hoping they can still figure something out!

I don’t know if the attractions are running at full capacity… I know staffing has been an issue- but- more staff, potentially more ride capacity, more G+ capacity and shorter standbys. That would help.

They need to bring back extra magic evening hours for all resort guests so that the mornings can be freed a little and the waits are not this ridiculous.

A blogger indicated that both lines of TOT don’t start until like 11 am

Drifting slightly off-topic but do we know what capacity is likely to be like for Guardians? A high-demand high-capacity attraction would be hugely helpful.
