Looking for my Disney cards to get 2022 dues on my DVC paid, so used Best Buy offers and a Chase offer to get 10% off, plus some UR's, MR's and Marriott points.
Was able to apply to my account as a credit, which was a relief. I do not want to hold any gift cards much longer than it takes me to get them home from the store. Didn't have time to go by Staples, but I've got a few weeks.
And, stopped by Office Depot and it was gone. Hmm. It didn't take me out of the way so didn't bother to call. Guess I'll call around and see if any are still alive in the area.
This past year I came down to the wire getting discounted cards but even though a slow process, worth it in the end. The highest return was 26%, and the lowest 11% so not bad. Would like more over 20%!
Edit: I can always use my CIC to wipe this out quickly at 5%, but since I'm retired, it's almost a game and a small job to track and use the larger discounts (10% plus) as they land. I'm going to try to do a better tallying job to get the overall per cent saved this year.
