Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

This may be a shot in the dark 😅....but I remember seeing a photo of either part of the YC or BC ground floor where it was a hallway lined with a bunch of windows and small tables. Made a great place for coffee or just a quiet spot to relax. Not sure if anyone knows what I'm talking about, but I guess I can do some exploring in Feb to try and find it 🤣

I think what you are referring to maybe the hallway at the Beach Club that is sort of between the Marketplace and solarium. Hopefully someone else can chime in if I’m thinking of the correct thing.
I think that could possibly be it? I was looking at a walkthrough tour of the lobby and see the area you're talking about and then there's a similar one at the YC that was pretty close, too. They had a bunch of window benches in the video but I distinctly remember them being tables. It was a long time ago I saw that photo though, so my memory could be wrong or they could have very well changed the design since then.

I think PP is correct in suggesting that what you are thinking about is the indoor walkway between the Beach Club Marketplace and the Solarium. It is lined with tables and chairs, and benches.

I don't recall any similar area in the Yacht Club.

Here now - I think they call it the solarium? I had coffee and did some work yesterday morning at a table by the windows. Yes - it is nice and quiet :) The walkway is across from the entrance to the quick serve restaurant. When we walk by later I will double check the name.

I think the Solarium is the room with the TV, and what OP asked about was the walkway to the room.

You are describing the Solarium, which is located just off the hallway near the BC Marketplace. It is a great place to eat breakfast on a cold morning. :)

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:cool1:
We are going to be at the YC from 4 Dec thru 11 Dec. Thanks for the add to the "Be Our Guest" List. 👍

Oh yes that’s it! Thank you so much!! 😁 I’m glad I wasn’t just imagining it. Looks like a nice place to enjoy some quiet time.

We are just back. We're long time DVC members and own at the BC. Always love it, still do, but have serious complaints about the food this trip. What in the world. Why did they take my most favorite thing away from the Marketplace, the flat bread pizza!! That was always my go to, at Stormalong Bay my husband would make the trek back, and get me that and loved it. On our first day, while he went to return our rental car, I was at the villa pool and I tried a turkey sandwich from the Marketplace. GROSS. and so very bland. Never again. The cheeseburger at B & C, really?? 17.00 for that, it was horrific. Same with at SB pool, just awful. What has happened to the food? The one good thing we had, was at the lounge one night and had a delicious cheeseboard, yum, it could be dinner. Very disappointed overall though. Still love that pool, after 20 yrs now. We have been doing no parks since Covid, and love every minute there.

Just booked our first stay ever at the YC (water view room in early April following our 4-nt DCL). Stayed at prob 2/3 of Disney resorts but never had a chance to stay here. Going to dig through this thread for all the fun info and tips, but most excited for the pool. Even during my two years as a CM I've never been able to use the pool so I'm psyched :D

This is a bit random, but does anyone know if the email guest.services@disneyworld.com is legit? I sent an email there a while back about some issues with our YC stay, and just got a response with either the biggest pixie dust of my life, or I'm totally being punked. :rotfl2:

That is the correct e-mail. I sent one in early November and received a response rather quickly [see below]. Is Tinker Bell on the letter head?
