Howdy y'all! Some updates on my end: I am coming to the event. My family just finalized long-term evacuation plans, and I will be assisting on the backend recovery efforts. Meaning, I will be very busy when power and other infrastructure comes back, but right now there's not much for me to do for them. My MCO arrival timeline slightly changed though, because I had plans to visit the aunt that is now (surprise!) receiving my family for evacuation. So we agreed it was better to focus on my parents/family arrival than our froufrou spa days.
I will be arriving while the JockLindsays event is underway- so sad to miss y'all. Changing flights this late didn't leave much options to arrive earlier. All my hosting events are on, and I'll be there to welcome y'all.
I'd love to add a Geyser Point or Tiki Terrace gathering, but not sure of best day/time. Sunday evening?
Logistics Update: I will be looking through the most updated information to note any impacts to our events. Next week I'll send a reminder to hosts for those who have signed up, so they're on the lookout for our DISguests. To my awareness the first posts are updated with known events & hosts.
HOSTS PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR MEETING LOCATION 24HRS PRIOR TO EVENT. In areas where a new person could be confused, please be particular in your description so we can find each other. First posts will be updated.
HOSTS PLEASE WAIT 10-15MIN OR GIVE A DEFINITE LEAVE TIME. For example, if you're traveling by a certain time to another location, please be clear in your description of the event. Some events are designed to just linger in one location and that's great, too. It's best to share expectations in advance so folks can make plans as they travel in the heat and populace.
