It seems I can buy then online but if you want to add Photopass or waterpark and sports, you HAVE to add it to all tickets. I only want Photopass on 2 of the tickets (family of 6 but the children would always be with us)

Could you do it as two separate transactions? Purchase the passes you want to have Photopass first and then do a separate purchase for the others?

If I have a 1-day hopper and decide to upgrade (still doing the math), I have to do this before tapping into the park, don't I?

Unfortunately, we arrive at like midnight the night before the park day. If I decide to convert, sounds like I'll have to go the phone route or stand in line at GS first thing in the am which is arguably worse, lol.

I just purchased 3 AP's and they all have an expiration date of 12/31/2099. Whats up with that?

Hmmm... Mine says it expires Sept 7, 2022. People here are saying we have a year to activate. However, your situation suggests something different. What type of pass did you purchase? Are they linked to specific people? I think I had to link mine when purchasing, but I wonder if that's the difference.

You just have to upgrade before leaving the park that day, but if you wanted to take advantage of the AP discounts, you'd want to do it beforehand.

Ok, thanks! That would be ideal to do that. My day starts at DHS so wanted to try for RoTR and take advantage of the early morning before it gets hot and I hop to go meet my DD who wanted to just do one park. If I decide to upgrade, I'd do it mid-day.

This upgrade by phone is ridiculous. Why didn't they have the system ready for this Go Live of passes? I would do it online in a heartbeat if I could.

If you think the phoning in is ridiculous imagine what disaster IT could have made out of trying to upgrade the system to handle this online! People could have found themselves paying the down payment on a cruise to the Bahamas instead of having gotten a WDW AP

I am going to get an AP and first use it/activate it July 1. Can I use it for the AP hotel discount (assuming they are having one) for late June or no because I have not activated it yet?

I am still on hold waiting to upgrade tickets to AP. I've spoken to a CM that helped me transfer to a different operator without the all lines are busy. I started at 9am. And yes, she tried to talk me into waiting until my trip but I declined. Very sweet CM. ❤

Reporting back: I lucked out and got the absolute BEST phone CM to help me. True pixie dust. Not only was she able to upgrade our tickets from our package to APs, but she also helped me KEEP my park reservations so I didn't have to rebook them, AND she helped modify my other 2 reservations for November.

Shout out to Katrice, I want her to run my entire life!

I was lucky enough to be able to buy the Sorcerer pass since I'm DVC. I didn't even think about using GC for Incredipass since you can only combine GC's up to $1000.

Nice! Glad you got yours!! We had to get Incredipass being out of state, no DVC. After several times of trying to call and not even getting a dial tone I gave up and just did two separate purchases using as much as I could with one gc each time. Stinks but much easier, and now we’ll have money to use on our upcoming trip. They really should fix that option though. Pretty ridiculous that you can’t pay online with more than one gc and they max out at 1k… just sayin!!

Quick questions, I noticed that I had an expiration date. On all my other visits I had to go to guest services even though I validated my Florida ID online. These seem as they are activated.
So I can go stright to the gate?

If I want to make additional payments to get these paid off quicker can and how do I do that?

I was going to get one photo pass but it did not give me that option... it was all or nothing so that's another days problem.

It's confusing. I got the note when paying that I had to go to Will Call to pick up the ticket and show ID. Some are saying that the expiration date shown after purchasing is the date by when you need to pick up your ticket. Someone else got a different expiration date of 12/31/99. I'm wondering if there are some issues with the purchase/link/activation process that need to be resolved. I don't want an activated ticket until I pick mine up in January.

Yes. You have to show an active AP at check in though, so you have to activate it before
