The Walt Disney World Annual Passes Open for Sale

The person I was talking to told me to go to guest services on the last day of my current park hopper ticket and convert to an annual pass. Uh, no, I want to convert these. Now, she's transferring me to "tickets". We shall see what comes from this.

It is now 1 year to activate and use it. If you don't activate within 1 year, you can apply what you paid to a new annual pass or tickets.
just want to make sure i understand correctly. i bought ap's today, if i do not visit/activate until february 2022, do the APS then run from that date until one year later, expiring in february 2023? or do they still expire september 7 2022? thanks in advance to anyone who can clarify this for me : )

I'm interested in this answer too.

I’ve tried every number know to man and still can’t get through to even be on hold. 😭😭

I have 6 day tickets that I want to convert to an AP. I really wish this could just be done online. If I can upgrade my ticket through MDE to add additional days & options, why can't I upgrade to the AP? Ugh. I really don't want to call.

Anyone know if Signature Services could help with this (we're staying CL & have a VIP tour booked)? We have time a month before our trip so I'm thinking I may just wait a few days for the craziness to die down. Good luck to everyone trying to get through today!

Does anyone know if you can upgrade the 14day park ticket from the UK to a Sorcerer Pass?

Has anyone actually been able to convert existing tickets to APs over the phone this morning? I just passed the 3 hour mark, and I'm hoping the next person that answers is actually the person who can help me!

So, I'm kind of confused, and a little freaked... I purchased 2 APs for myself and my DW. When I look at my profile it says that our AP expires 9/7/22... we're not taking our next trip until January. Are they not activated on first visit? And of course All Circuits are Busy when trying to call

The expiration date on an unactivated annual pass is the day by which you must activate it. If you activate the pass before then, the pass will be valid for a year from the date you activate it. But they now give you only a year to activate it after which you have to get a new pass (but can apply the cost of the expired pass to the cost of the new pass). Basically, they're limited the ability of people to hoard annual passes at current rates for future years.

Was also told by Guest Services that for an existing package it’s best to wait til the last day of our trip and convert on-site.

We’re only eligible for the top tier, I mean what’s the likelihood that THOSE are going to sell out by 9/19? I feel like…slim.

Unactivated APs expire one year from date of purchase

Activated APs expire one year from date of activation

After a 50 minute wait time, was told to call 407-566-4985 to upgrade existing tickets. Not complaining, just sharing.

I got through in two minutes with redial. No announcements, just Disney music. 🎹🎼🎸🎺🥁
Thank you for sharing! I got through and am on hold. But man, that phone menu. I have no idea if I selected the right option.

You can upgrade package tickets anytime during your trip to take advantage of AP discounts

Good to know - I think the suggestion is coming from the fact (as shared elsewhere in this thread) that converting tickets to APs cancels out existing park reservations. That doesn't look like an issue for our dates (9/15-9/19) right now but it's also probably not worth the hassle at the start of our vacation - we can simply enjoy and take care of it on our last day. I really don't think they're going to sell out of the Incredi-Pass any time soon.

Side note: the res calendar for APs now looks a MESS on the Disney website :crazy2: As to be expected lol. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passes/blockout-dates/disney-incredi-pass/
Edit: Nevermind, between looking 5 minutes ago and now they fixed.

Was able to chat w/ a Cast Member regarding the date the AP becomes active. Like those above me have mentioned, I have one year to activate the current AP, and then will have 1 year from the date of first visit. Big sighs of relief! Thanks everyone!
