Thanks. Daughter and I tried again just now for the 1:00 and both got “is everyone here” this time. I did it on cellular and she did on home WiFi. I guess this isn’t quite as hard as I thought but if it goes south on day-of I’ll probably not be too happy lol. Definitely had to select all each time though.

I'm seeing some people are saying use cell service not wifi. I'm thinking I shouldn't be sitting here at home practicing with 140 mbps wifi giving me a false sense of security when at the hotel it's going to be a sliver of that.

Seems a lot of the people in here reporting success and early groups are using fast wifi somewhere other than WDW.

I recommend doing a speed test, checking both data and WiFi. In April, I checked both the night before and data was faster at CBR. The next morning WiFi was considerably faster, so I used it and got a BG in the 20’s.

What is in flux right now is guests with a park reservation today. Some are finding their party are pre-selected, others are having to choose each person in their travel party with a park reservation today.

I'm curious if people who have to select their party have Location tracking turned off/on on their phone.

Easy steps:
Run a speed check WiFi vs lte 10 minutes prior to 7am…whichever is faster stick with that
Clear all the apps out your phone
Grab another phone, bring up the world clock, once that hits 7 click join join join. Completely ignore the “select party members screen”

BG 60 at Jambo using WiFi. Full before 7:01

First time this trip getting a BG at 7 AM. But I did get two at 1PM… BG 115 and BG 145. Both were called later in the day so I’m a happy camper

If you miss the morning sign up, definitely try at 1PM… I’ve gotten lucky then on many occasions!

My uncle/his gf and their 6 kids tried Saturday. I told him to make sure everyone was on his account and gave him precise instructions. He got BG 41 only problem is it only reserved 2 people him and his gf. He assumed because everyone had a pas they were already in the MDE group (wrong). Anyway he went to guest services at DHS prior to entering and they were able to add the other 6 people to his BG.

I have no idea what location services is. We’re currently staying at SSR.

If you have an iPhone go to settings and scroll down until you get to the Disney World app. Open it and check your setting for Location Services.

I found that the easiest way to get a boarding group is to use the Time. Gov method along with closing ALL apps on your phone other than the My Disney Experience App, and testing your cell data speed vs the Disney hotel Wifi Speed. Use which ever is faster ( Disney Wifi or your cell service). When I went weekend before last I got a boarding group at 7 AM by using that method and Disney hotel wifi.

Mine is on when app is in use. Never found it an issue. But I believe some folks say you should turn location services off when trying for a BG.
