I think you are better off purchasing $100 ticket or gift card than buying points.

What would be the reasons for getting a gift card and not points? My plan for future trips is to rotate between P1 and P2 getting SW bonus rewards every 2 years. So I would be using points to book my trips.

Recently got a new SW Chase Biz card, and met the MSR for the bonus quickly. Trying to determine if the statement will close in time to help me get companion pass before our trip in late July. When I look at my account online, it says next statement date unavailable. But it shows my next payment due date as 7/24. Does that mean that my statement closing date will be around 6/24?

It should be 3 days later- so 6/27.

The GC would allow you to pay the taxes that points don’t cover. Buying points just isn’t a good value and they don’t count toward CP.

Ahh ok. I knew it wasn't a great value to buy points but I figured with the bonus it would be an ok deal. I'll grab a $100 card and use it for taxes and EBCI for my trip next year.

doing MDD on sapphire for DH
got instant approval yesterday on CSP, got a we have to review today on CSR
he has no open chase accounts, closed United last year
he's an AU on Amex Hilton we've had for 20+ years

Hoping he gets CSR for the 50% bonus for travel.
if not can I transfer his UR to my chase account?
You’re odds of getting the card approved are better if he calls in right away today. If he doesn’t want to call and is denied then yes, you can transfer his UR to your account.

Yeah, I can do that on DVC online, it's super easy. But this is a resort room through WDW website, and it won't let me :-(
Ugh...sorry saw DVC in your post and thought this was a DVC stay....have you tried calling Disney reservation and see if they can drop the 2 nights

thanks. only reason for him to get csr was for the travel benefit! he doesn't even know I applied, I just give him cards and tell him to use! Will just hit spend quickly on his new csp, then I'll transfer the URs to my csr account

Does Hyatt post the anniversary FNC with the statement or just random? Card opened 4/15/20, June statement closed and still not FNC.

I opened my account on September 3rd. My FNC posts on September 4.

I intend to close my card after my FNC posts this coming September so was getting ready to look this up and make a note. I'll be reapplying early 2022.

Are you looking under 'My Awards' in your account?

not today, with the Boo Bash ticket sales I figured it would be a nightmare
Good choice not doing it today!

I have had success in dropping days, but they made it seem like it was a favor and not really allowed. They said that technically I should only be able to rebook if the dates I want are available online. Hope it works for you with all the other annoying parts of having to change plans. Good luck!

The new woh card doesn't post that quick. The new version takes 8 to 10 weeks.

Sad news, but per Southwest you can't use gift cards for EBCI :( So that might change your approach...
Here's where the info is found: https://www.southwest.com/faq/earlybird-checkin Under how much does EBCI cost tab.
