What are your pet hates about this forum?

I have a few, but they will have me banned when spoken outloud ;-)

What I pet hate most is when people use titles as 'question' or 'I have this thing'. I use the titles of threads to see if they are interesting. When i use the search option, I mainly search on 'titles only'.
Not being an English speaking native myself, I am not too much bothered by typos or grammar mistakes. I am a bit bothered by punctuation mistakes.

Not a hate or annoyance, just something that makes me wonder: the amount of screen names based on being a mother/father. It makes me wonder how much of this person's identity outside this board is tied to being a parent.

I've not been on here long, but I've lurked on this forum quite often when I was planning my Disney trip back in 2018 and googled questions related to Disney, so I've not got many, but I have one that really annoys me:

The use of abbreviations for daughter, son, husband, wife and then what I dislike most is the D (for dear? or Disney?) that apparently goes along with it. I don't know why it bothers me so much, but I can't help getting annoyed with it.

Dd, ds, and DH have been around for probably at least 30+ years, and are used on message boards far and wide, even if old fashioned. It’s dear/darling, definitely not Disney.

The best zombie threads are those revived by someone who just recently registered and posts for only a day. They came to a Disney board to engage about very specific topics like Helix haircuts, nose warts, trees growing in their yard... you name it.

Have a goiter? Skip the endocrinologist and consult the Disney fans: Buy a turtleneck, and have a magical day!

I've only seen it on Disney related message boards and websites, so I figured it was mainly Disney slang. Then again, in the past I've mainly been on Dutch message boards and a few British ones, so I probably never came across it.

Still annoys me 😅

My first spotting was ivillage over 20 years ago, but I’ve frequented a dance message board (folks thought it was dance daughter) and a university of Delaware Facebook page (folks thought Delaware daughter), but nope.

I first encountered it on baby name message boards.

I always thought it was a Disney thing as well.
My Dutch mom is an avid scrapbooker who for the past year hangs out on American scrapbook boards. She learned about DD/DS/DH/DW etc there, when she referenced it in conversation, I was so confused. "Why are they talking about Disney on your scrapbook site?"

The laughing smiley used for snarkiness. It seems extra petty/nasty. Also makes you feel like you can’t ever use it because someone might take it wrong.
I also hesitate to use it to laugh with someone for fear they'll think I'm laughing at them. The "Funny Memes" thread is the only thread where I feel like I can use it with reckless abandon.
