As for the COVID-19 vaccines, this bit of speculation has been repeated frequently because, rightfully so, officials have remained cautious in the absence of real world data. Fortunately Israel - who has among the highest vaccinations rates in the world - now has data to start to answer this question. Two Israeli studies have found that the Pfizer vaccine greatly reduces virus transmission:
