Early Entry in- Extra Magic Hours out

The same way they did for morning EMH. Onsite guests' hotels are linked to their MDE account which can be read via ticket card or Magic Band, so the main entrance tapstiles can be set to only allow onsite guests through, and offsite guests will have to wait until the posted opening time.
What I meant was how will they PHYSICALLY separate the two? It seems like by the time you got everyone sorted the 30 minutes would be up.

Holy cow, it’s one thing after another. We hadn’t utilized EMH as much because of our touring plans changing as we had kids, but knowing they were there was great. I haven’t had time to think this through, but my initial thought is that 30 min won’t be enough to make a difference at all except to really hurt off site guests every days (which as I type that maybe makes sense, huh). It’s kind of a version of what they already did, opening a little early, it will just be every day and official now (and only for on site guests). They just chip and chip away at stuff, don’t they? I think COVID is going to give many businesses the excuse they needed to permanently end a lot of things...

That's if you get 30 minutes. We used to line up for a bus to the park over an hour before it'd open for EMH. The bus wouldn't show up until 20 minutes before the park opening and we'd get there 25-30 minutes into EMH once through security.

So true. An hour would sound like more of a benefit.

On our November trip, DD and I were at the bus stop super early for our four days and was on the first bus for all of them. Two days transportation was great, the other two we were way behind rope drop for MK and AK by the time the first bus arrived at the resort. I want to say they didn't show up until around 8:45 for a 9 a.m. opening on those days.

30 Mins... That was Disney's best offer? Really? And I have doubts about transportation being able to manage this if social distancing and temp checks are still a thing.

I thought part of the reason they let guest in early since covid was to manage the tap que lines from getting too long but I'm guessing they are planning on that not being an issue? Like offsite guest I guess don't take up that much space??

Sorry but thirty minutes in no way makes up for all the perks they have cut and clearly continue to cut from those staying onsite.

I think we all need to complain to guest services about the 2022 no MagicalExpress and other changes. Even if they throw it into file 13, maybe the overwhelming numbers of irritated people will do some good. I know it will make me feel alot better!

The benefit now is that there is no such thing as rope dropping a park unless you stay on property.
It's really not going to make a difference in your day, that's the issue. This is, at best, a large reduction in the perk of EMHs, at worst this will make literally no difference in your day. Also, I'm sure in a year, maybe two they will start scaling back "early entry" to only some days a week..

I normally cut Disney a lot of slack, but this just really irritates me. We like to relax on vacation, and getting up super-early to stand in line to get into the park to not have to stand in line for the rides is not my jam. Evening EMH was the absolute best, especially when it was 3 hours. I remember staying until 3 am on 4th of July weekend and riding every single thing in MK with no wait (and with the lower temperatures of the nighttime). This really makes going in any season other than winter highly unappealing. Thanks for nothing, Disney.
