Yes, the Skyliner hours will be based on park hours. Its my understanding that the Skyliner will generally run for 90 minutes past park closing. The day we are going to Epcot they close at 10:00. I’m guessing the skyliner will be running for the 10:00 closing?
That's good to know! Did you also take the Riviera Skyliner to HS? If so, how was that? We were also going to head to the Riviera for a QS breakfast so I'm glad you enjoyed it!Heading home now from our first stay at CBR and we LOVED IT! We were in Aruba and used the Riviera Skyliner station due to the short walk. We got in line at around 9:30 for our Epcot day. We were probably about 25 people back from the line. Skyliner started running about 9:45 for 11:00 opening. We had an early morning reservation at Trattoria for our HS day so we didn’t use it that morning. We also walked over to Riviera for QS breakfast one morning which we really enjoyed.
The Riviera does not have a direct skyliner to HS. You have to take the Epcot line to CBR and then get off and transfer to the HS line. That's good to know! What address do you put in for grocery delivery? I keep trying to do it on the Walmart delivery app and it just keeps telling me ‘that address doesn’t look familiar’ and won’t let me go any further. I already have a delivery membership through Walmart so was hoping to use that... Does Walmart deliver?
ETA: Nevermind, turns out I had to put 900 and not 1100. If I order before I have a room number, will they just take it to the front desk? I’m new to this- thanks!
We've always used 1114 Cayman Way for grocery deliveries. Unless you meet the driver, deliveries will be made to Bell Services. Bell Services has a very large refrigerator to keep your perishables cold.
I believe the store had those items, but the selection is very small and of course, overpriced. If it were me just needing those things, I would try to make do saving the hassle and cost of the grocery delivery. Worst case, you could stop at a DVC resort store (i.e. store at Beach Club, which you can easily take the Skyliner to) which may be inclined to have a larger selection. There's also a large Speedway near the Boardwalk/DHS that you could easily Uber to.How much does the on-site market have for food? I’m debating whether we really need grocery delivery (just me and my son) and we plan on eating out most of the time. All we would need is milk and cereal and snack items.
We didn't try to get there at this time, but I can't imagine there's a line or large crowd. First, it would primarily be people who were unsuccessful at getting a 7am boarding group. Also, the line in the morning used to form before the Skyliner opened for the day. In the afternoon, the Skyliner is continuously running so there's not much opportunity for a big line to form. I would leave Riviera around 1ish to ensure you're in DHS by 2pm, and I think that's probably an overestimation.I've see a lot of posts about Skyliner lines at CBR for the 10am opening at HS. What about people trying to get there for the 2pm BG drop? Are the Skyliner and the HS lines long at 1:00-1:30? We plan to Skyliner from the Epcot station to Riviera and eat lunch, then Skyliner to HS before 2pm. What's the latest we could leave Riviera to safely get into HS by 2pm?
We got back this weekend from a great first stay at CBR! We loved it!! We ended up not putting in any requests for room placement and were put in Aruba, 2nd floor of building 54. It was a great location in our opinion - we could easily walk across the bridge to Old Port Royale, but were also close to both Skyliner stations.
For Epcot, we walked over to the Riviera station around 10:00 for an 11:00 opening and walked right on and into the parks, and right on rides. For HS, we walked to the CBR station (leaving our room around 7:30) and were first in line. It turned out great! Our MK day started out as more of a bummer because the buses didn't start until after 8:30, and by the time a bus came to our stop, another family tried pushing in front of a bunch of people, forgetting about respect and physical distancing... but thankfully my husband spoke up and got us on the bus, and we hope the others who didn't make it on were able to figure out the craziness when we left. We drove our car to AK because we didn't want another bus issue and that worked well. Our HS day, we left for a midday break and had no lines either our way out or our way back - it was so nice to quickly leave and come back!
We ended up eating dinner at Centertown Market three nights - two of which we got the great family pizza deal, lol! It was found safe for my allergies the first night, and my family wanted it later in the week, too, so we went for it again. It's a nice big, deep dish pizza, with a nice salad and breadsticks... we didn't finish everything either night.
Your MK bus morning was my exact fear, and something I think is pretty common. We were there two weeks ago and got to the bus stop around 7:30. The signage said buses would start at 8:30. By 7:50, there were several families waiting at the bus depot, and there no formal queue there. I got nervous about whether people would respect who was there first, so we ended up leaving and taking an Uber and I'm glad we did. We ended by getting in the park by 8:30. Good for your husband for speaking up.
Yeah, the buses to both MK and AK at park opening are a little crazy. To Uber to AK, you can't get in until the parking lot opens so it was a little challenging trying to decide the best time, trying to strike a balance between not getting caught in traffic waiting for the lot to open while trying to get there early enough to take advantage of the early park opening. I read the lot opens 45-60 minutes before posted park opening, so I called an Uber at 8:15 and we were there by 8:35. Slight wait at the temperature check, but everything worked out. That bus queue to MK sounds like a hot mess. I'd be very cranky if I got there early (which we plan on doing!) and people just tried to run in front of you. What is the earliest you can take an Uber to the transportation center at MK? And from there you have to ride the ferry across right? That sounds kinda fun, especially for a first timer experience like ours. I've been to MK once but it was years ago when I was younger.
I’m so sad! We had to cancel our trip because of a family member having a medical emergency. They are recovering in the hospital and we are taking care of her children.
We were supposed to leave Saturday .
The good news was that the REST of the families at the bus stop (ALL of them, about 8 families) fully knew who came when and were happy to go in order... it was just the one random family who was disrespectful. We weren't about to let their rudeness ruin our day!Your MK bus morning was my exact fear, and something I think is pretty common. We were there two weeks ago and got to the bus stop around 7:30. Random question about your pizza - was it the round thick/doughy kind that you can find elsewhere on WDW property (Pizzafari, Pizzerizzo, etc)? I ask because we decided against it when we looked at it on the mobile order menu because the photo showed a square one that looked almost like a flatbread. One of the downsides of mobile order is that I can't see for myself or ask questions!
Thank you! Starting to plan another time.I am so sorry to hear this. Hats off to you for stepping up to help.
