After a bit of a journey, I finally got my May reservation situated (I hope).
I booked a package 10 days at the Swan for May (w/ hoppers - fingers crossed) on Wednesday when 2021 packages opened. The room reservation took until this afternoon to show up in
MDE (4-days after booking). I was worried since we've never had to wait more than two days for Swan reservation to be linkable before, but this was our first time booking the Swan through Disney instead of direct or through a TA.
With the room reservation part of the package finally showing in MDE, I checked for the tickets and found that they were not there. Since I couldn't make Park Pass reservations without tickets, I contacted CS and explained that my tickets weren't showing up. After a bit, they eventually kicked it up to an "escalation team." The CM asked for my park days, then added "FP keys" to my account and made the Park Pass reservations. She then said she was told by that we do have tickets on the account but that they won't show up in MDE until we pick them up at the Swan.
Is that normal for Swalphin bookings through Disney? I understand not getting the physical ticket cards until then, but not linking them seems odd to me. Are they expecting all Swalphin booking to contact CS to be able to book park passes? There was no indication in any of the previous email communication from Disney that out tickets would not be linked until we pick them up at check-in. We already have tickets for December 2020 on the account, so I wonder if that might have had something to do with it.
Anyway... the key task of securing the Park Passes that we wanted is done (although hopefully moot by May), but I'm still a little worried about the tickets, despite the assurances.
